Bama is Bama. Natty no. 18 or 19 (I forget) won’t change who they are or how they run their program.

I’d rather see 1980 live on…

For everyone inside the SEC, I'd think this is the correct answer. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

For everyone outside of GT, Clemson, and the SEC, Bama fatigue is real, and they don't care about the running 1980 jokes. They will be all UGA in the "hope they win Department."

I live in Northwest Florida (Panama City Beach), and there are a lot of UGA fans here, but no where near as many as there are bammer fans..

I am not pulling for Georgia. I am pulling for 1980, so therefore, Bama.

Ding ding ding. Georgia fans are already insufferable... a Natty is not going to help. In fact, I may never return to this site.

Why would anyone outside of the State of Alabama be cheering for Alabama? I think you are wrong on most of these states.

Most Tennessee fans I’ve talked to are pulling for Bama. One more championship doesn’t mean shite at this point. However, Georgia winning one would make that already insufferable fan base that much worse

I know some Florida fans that are pulling for the dawgs. I am sure they are outside the norm. The cock fans I know would not pull for Georgia, regardless of who they are playing. Tenn fans are probably quite divided, since they get their arse kicked every year by both teams.

Something I have noticed is there is some nervousness amongst the Ala fans. Why? I mean beating Georgia and winning the NC is a birth right, correct??

If we’re talking just fanbases by state:

Texas - Alabama
Missouri - Georgia
Arkansas - Georgia
Louisiana - Georgia
Mississippi - Georgia
Tennessee - Georgia
Kentucky - Alabama
Alabama - Alabama
Georgia - Georgia
Florida - Alabama
South Carolina - Alabama

A&M fans seem to want Bama to win because it makes their season look better (as the lone team to beat Bama in that case). Kentucky, Florida, and South Carolina fans are all rooting against Georgia. Tennessee and Auburn fans don’t want either team to win. I figure Tennessee wants Alabama to win less than they want Georgia to win, and that Vanderbilt fans aren’t a big enough part of the state of Tennessee to tip the scales regardless of their desires. Auburn fans probably favor Georgia, but there are more Alabama fans in Alabama than Auburn fans, and a sizable number of Auburn fans will hate Georgia even more (not many, not most, but a noticeable number). Everyone else obviously has Bama fatigue, though it’s plausible Missouri also has Georgia fatigue due to being in the East.

Sorry, just don't get these sentiments at all.Other than trolling purposes WTF does "1980" matter to LSU fans? Not even a rival of LSU and I suppose you're just rolling over and accepting Bama as your Daddy.

Lots of folks don't want "1980" to go away.

I imagine SEC East teams are pulling for Bama, hoping to weaken UGA, and SEC West teams are pulling for UGA, because their irrational hatred of Bama makes them do stupid things.

Really doesn’t make sense for anyone to support Georgia. Another Saban win doesn’t mean Jack **** at this point.
