"Allen was hurt."

Is all that really needs to be said.

Vegas waited until very late to post a line because we weren't even sure Allen would play. But Mizzou fans will never admit Allen was hurt.

He had a sprained oblique which prevented him from getting anything on the ball, and it really showed in the 2nd half.

I remember him being hurt. By that point in the season, there's lots of guys hurting though. Hell, Golden played the whole season with a bad hammy. I'm sure I could go back and continue listing the injuries off if ya like. Besides, Allen wasn't winning y'all games. Your defense was. Shutting out OM and LSU. Holding tejas to an embarrassing day on offense and 7 points. My take is Allen doesn't win games for ya, you just don't want him to lose games turning it over.

Arkansas is back and you should take pride in that. You aren't doing yourself any favors whining about injuries though.

Congrats on the game tonight. Enjoyed watching y'all make tejas quit.

He was obviously hurt, but we'd have won either way considering we're a better team.

Well, it was about the same way Alabama beat Arkansas. Actually didnt you all beat them by only one point, let me check real quick.....yep, 14-13.

So there is that I suppose.

Bama was overlooking the hogs, and saving those points for the SECCG in Atlanta.

Well the truth is you won the game. Doesn't really matter how at this point. I'm happy with the results of this season. We deserved to beat Bama and State over Mizzou in my opinion. No way we should have let Mizzou have a chance in this game, but we did and it cost us.

I don't rememeber the point spread but I'd find it hard to believe Mizzou would be favorite in any venue against Arkansas. Maybe the home game put you at a slight advantage. But you can have the win. I know they'll be a lot harder to come at Mizzou over the next decade or so.

m not getting into the trolling aspect at play here but Arkansas couldnt stop Mizzou in the 2nd half. That was the difference. They were and are a good football team but thats where they lost the game.

And our QB playing hurt was a big part of that. He was hurt bad enough that he shouldn't have been playing, but our coaches don't seem to believe in playing a backup QB for some reason. He couldn't sustain any offensive momentum, because Missouri stopped our running game and Allen couldn't hit anyone, so our defense tired while spending all day on the field.

Missouri's a good team, but those are the facts. If Allen would have been healthy, may we win, maybe we don't?

Won't admit he was hurt? Huh? Sure, he was hurt.

The better team won the game. It's that simple. We flat out dominated the second half.

Because our QB was overthrowing easy looks and we couldn't move the ball. Allen was hurt. Its an obvious fact. Otherwise, its a totally different game.

Okay piglets, then weak QB = weak team. Playing an injured QB was a coaching decision. And it screams "lack of depth". Your 2nd QB is worst than an injured starter. That's not news to you.

I was there. Mizzou's D wore that big/slow line down, arky could not run in the 2nd half. Mizzou's O executed and finished. Better Mizzou conditioning had a role, I believe.

History lesson I...Mizzou won the SEC East in 2013 with a 2nd string QB playing significant time. Team depth = wins. That's the SEC way.

History lesson II...Mizzou beat arky in the 2008 Cotton Bowl with strong D and we ran it down-their-throat (Cotton Bowl rush record). McFadden was a big bust against Mizzou.

In the 2014 SECCG, I was there too. Bama was the better team. We did not play our best because Bama beat us like a yard dog. No baby arky excuses here.

Good SEC win arky over little texas in the Liberty. Hey, where is all that 5-star depth of little texas??? It was hiding when Mizzou beat little texas in 2011 too. Big 5-star recruiting classes...kiss my behind.

Bama...now win the NC for the SEC.

MIZ! SEC!

Well he was. I'm not sure how you can even try to argue that he wasn't.

Then it was on Bert for not pulling him, isn't it?

And that still wouldn't explain how Mizzou ran the ball down Arky's throat in the 4th quarter.

Or was the defense hurt too?

We didn't blame 2012 on our QB being hurt(which he was?.

Or in 2013 (w/Franklin). Or in 2014 (which Mauk was).

Mizzou beat Arkansas, period.

Arky had a strong finish. Why tarnish it with excuse making?

I knew if I kept reading I would find a Arky post that was sensible.

So a coach who plays a hurt qb rather than bring in a back up sounds like a tactical genius. Arky was fricking stupid and lost that game due to it
