They were lucky to get the rematch with LSU, but we could have beat that ND team 70-0 lol

At least 6 SEC teams would have blown ND out of the stadium that year. They need ref help to beat Stanford and Pitt. Alabama could have beaten them so much worse than they did but they called off the dogs at halftime.

Dude, Central Florida and east Carolina?

Also, I guess at lambeau field doesn't count right, or at Washington. Lsu has also played several high level neutral field games, including Oregon and tcu, plus a not so high level North Carolina. I'm sorry South Carolina isn't a bigger draw.

UGA
2017 @Notre Dame and @Georgia Tech

2016 vs UNC neutral site

2015 @ GT

2014

2013 @ Clemson and @ GT

2012

2011 Boise St neutral site and @GT

2010 @Colorado

2009 @ Oklahoma St and @ GT

2008 @ Arizona State

10 out of conference away games plus 2 neutral site games in 11 seasons.

I know why Alabama doesn't want to schedule away at an opponent ts stadium... (you are more likely to lose and it doesn't help your SOS any different than the neutral site game).

You do realize the University of Florida Gators haven't played a non-conference game outside of the state of Florida in like 26 years, right?

The West never plays away games just those first game kick off classics.

There's actually a pretty simple explanation.

The kickoff classic games are usually played in stadiums used as playoff venues.

Playing a game there early in the year is good prep work for when you return at the end of the season, which is something teams in the east don't have to worry about.

Edited to add: Auburn just goes to Clemson, which is (as the late, great Lewis Grizzard noted) simply Auburn with a lake so that might as well count as a home game.

Tennessee in the SEC West now?

One thing you cannot bag on when it comes to UT is their OOC scheduling.

Supposedly Auburn and Notre Dame are working on a home/home. I would love to see that happen.

Notre Dame seems to be be going with a Southern teams strategy lately. Probably hoping to increase their recruiting down here. We've got them scheduled and they are talking about Auburn and Georgia as well.

I am a bit surprised that LSU's name isn't getting thrown into the hat. Southern state with a large Catholic population and it turns out a ton of talent each year. Plus the two schools have a history of playing each other from back in the day.

Not a troll but serious question. The West never plays away games just those first game kick off classics. Is Auburn the only West team with enough balls to do it? What are you guys scared of? I mean damn, do you really need 4 cream puff games a year to pad the stats? Some of you should be ashamed looking at your ooc opponents

I will tell you the answer but you won't like it. Any school would rather open up in a neutral stadium with a big name ooc program. The upside is tremendous. The east teams would love to do it, and would do it if they were invited. The truth is the reason the west plays(usually LSU and Bama) so many of the neutral field openers is because they can. It makes more money, does not take away one of the home games, helps in recruiting, and if you lose, you have the rest of the season to overcome the loss and still make the playoffs. SEC schools share all of the tv revenue, perhaps your school should refuse the money if they are so against it.

I like that Auburn schedules home/home series. I have never been a big fan of the neutral site games. Bowl games are for that. IMO, college football regular season games should be played in college football stadiums.

I would much prefer true home and homes but I get why you do the neutral site games.

Exactly why you schedule them

Actually why teams schedule USCe for home games OOC because they consider you a cream puff. Just saying.

Played at Penn State in 2010 I think it was. Also USCe isn't going to get invited to play in the big nonconference games to start the season. People want to see big names in those games and sorry but USCe is not one of those.

If doctors could send people to a stupid house kinda like they send crazy people to a crazy hospital then the OP should be sent to the stupid house. What an irresponsible poorly researched post.

Teams looking for easy OOC(cupcakes) for non conference games so they schedule a team like USCe for that purpose.
