I can’t believe there is even an argument about this.
Chambliss has been ruled ineligible by the NCAA. Ole Miss is using a Mississippi Judge’s ruling as grounds to play him.
Ole Miss will be playing a player this Saturday that is ineligible per the NCAA. Plain and simple.

LSU is orchestrating it, I think it's a power play to try to force the SEC's hand into fair assessment of eligibility rules.
Why? LSU nor Lane has cared one bit about this for the last 5 years when a lot of this stuff kicked off.

LSU fans are melting so hard today.
Like the Japanese after bombing Pearl Harbor, LSU fans here celebrated their victory prematurely.
Some LSU fans are now realizing the war is not over, and the SEC has a nuclear bomb.

Because Lane is autistic and gets fixated on certain things, like the injury policy.
Also, it's the ultimate petty move.

So Lane is willing to tank his and LSU's national perception over being petty? And the LSU AD, President, and Louisiana Governor are all on-board on doing this to be petty?

99% of the public has decided that like gambling, professional athletes returning to college is a bridge too far for the sport.
Excluding gambling, 99% of the public are braindead zombies who have no ability to think for themselves and realize that this specific situation is nothing like a player gambling, and is 100% the NCAA's doing.
99% of the public also lost their minds with the timing of when Lane went to LSU, even though he absolutely had to if he wanted what he perceived as what was best for his career.
Just because you and most of the public have no cognitive ability to understand nuance doesn't mean that you are right.

I would say 15 out of 16 universities is pretty consistent.

No, I think they truly believe the SEC isn't operating fairly. The pettiness is just a side benefit.
National perception is meh , people will forget all of this if LSU wins. People were always going to blast Lane and LSU if they lose, no big loss there.
But that's just assuming LSU is orchestrating the mess.
They may be completely uninvolved and are just looking to add easy depth. In that case, if they can, they do. If they can't, they don't, no harm no foul.

Right or wrong, and whether you like it or not, it does explain why this is happening.

They haven't cared about this for years. The SEC has never operated fairly.
And even so, picking the one thing that 99% of college football fans agree is wrong to be the hill to die on is quite the choice.

You're right, 99% of the public is wrong, LSU and their fans are right. Got it.

Oh of course. People are lazy and love being fed information to tell them how they should think. It's why nobody is actually providing any rebuttal to the argument that these players are making because they feel like they were mistreated. I don't understand why we can't actually address whether we feel that they are right or not, but instead everyone wants to just pretend that this is simply "pro" players returning to college, with no further context.

Yep. Well done. Not sure what you are arguing.

99% of the public think chambliss shouldn't be playing either.
And yes, that "99%" is not accurate for either of these stories. It's more like 60-70%

I agree, and you wouldn't do all of that just for some depth pieces so the most logical conclusion is LSU isn't orchestrating the suits and is just interested in signing the players, if they're available. If they're not, they won't.

Yes. We know the SEC has operated unfairly.
But deciding that just because the SEC has operated unfairly in the past, that this is the path to take?
I think it’s puts the SEC in real peril because every other school will say… that only judges matter. Screw the SEC…

The fact that we're only a week into this and discussions related to expelling LSU are already happening makes it seem as though the conference isn't very confident in its other options.

For that reason, there cannot be any evidence that implies LSU was encouraging the lawsuit or involved in any way.
Why was it filed in Louisiana?

Suits were filed all over the place. I would assume this specific one was filed in Louisiana because Pyburn seemed to be the main name involved.
