Fans would melt, but it wouldn't be a shock either.
Bama
Ole Miss
UGA
LSU
Tenn
Texas
Aggie
Florida
USCe
Could beat each other any given Saturday.

Maybe Auburn and OU have fixed their issues and are in the mix.

Last season and this season even more is a week to week "who's the best SEC team" type season.

I think Clemson's offense is as good/better than Bama's, so Bama won't score much. If Bama is even close to winning, it will be due to our offense imploding with TOs. Unless Bama's mentality changes drastically from what I saw vs Fla St, LSU will beat Bama's arse. It almost feels like what I saw happen to LSU after 2019. Discipline gone, no cares, bad team.

this never happens. It's the other way around when it is a blowout.

That's an interesting point...

I wonder WHY in the WORLD it be like that...

Depends on what LSU's record is going into the game. If they are undefeated, it will be nuclear. Also depends on what Bama does between now and then.

Alabama is definitely talented enough to beat LSU. I don’t expect them to play that badly all season. They played with no heart on Saturday. I

Bama has the talent to play as well as they want to play. They're not as well coached and consistent as they were under Saban. But the talent is there. I don't think they're as bad as they were on Saturday.

They've got the talent to beat anybody. See them losing to Vandy last year ans then blowing LSUs doors off. Wouldn't shock me if they beat LSU. Won't shock me if they beat Georgia in a few weeks.

Are we solidly in the playoff at that time? If so then hardly not at all other than disappointment about losing a game. Are we considered a fringe playoff team? Then probably quite a bit.

It's amazing how small the attention span of this board is. Why can't we just enjoy Bama's misery instead of debating over hypotheticals 3 months from now?

Just imagine all the shite talk between now and November 8th, if things in Tuscaloosa don't improve.

I would have to smile if that happened.

We jus wanna make the playoff. Not crazy to think we lose to a team loaded with blue chip players at their house in November.

As long as we make the playoffs. Then anything can happen. I think the melt will be worse for Auburn.

One game into the season so why should LSU fans care about a game that isn't going to happen until November and Florida coming to town in two weeks?

I hate that our rent a win Auburn isn't on the schedule this year. Used to enjoy just writing that W down every year.
