What is Mullen making now? Over 6? If UF is paying over 6 to take a coach who’s never even sniffed a divisional title let alone a national one then how is the market value of taking Jimbo not actually 8 or 9 M?

Nope, sorry, don't see Bubba leading to
the Glory Hole Land. He's a good coach,
not a great one. Remove the successful but
corrupt effort to keep Jameis Winston around
long enough to bring home the hardware and
he's definitely overrated. It probably would
be a better career move for Jimbo, at this
point, than it will be for A&M.

They were ranked 9th, 14th, and 25th in 3 of those wins.
He's 10-2 vs the SEC with wins over USC (when they were good un Spurrier), Auburn, Florida, & Ole Miss.
It's not 12-0 with 12 wins over Bama, but its a positive on the resume, not a negative.

You just fired a coach that collapses due to QB mismanagement, and are about to hire another one. That would be worrisome for me if I were an A&M fan. 5 wins this year with the past 5 recruiting classes looking like this:
2013 - #11
2014 - #4
2015 - #3
2016 - #3
2017 - #6
It will be interesting to see. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery and will get back to his old self. But I definitely don't think it's a sure thing for A&M with Jimbo in a very hard SEC West.
With all that said, it's probably the best "safe" hire you could make at the moment.
