The man recruits a loaded roster with Johnny Manziel, Mike Evans, Christine Michael, and three future first round offensive lineman (Cedric Ogbuehi, Jake Mathews, and Luke Joeckel) and gets fired right before he can enjoy the fruits of his labors. Very sad.

Badly. But he dug his own grave. He would have won the natty in 2012 though.

He was there for four years and only had one good season. He did have talent all over the place though. Von Miller on top of that. As well as the QB for Miami.

Is getting fired by Texas A&M really a bad thing? It sucks to be fired but he gets payed to leave College Station. That sounds like a reward to me.

So, except for 2012, Sumlin pretty much picked up where Sherman left off?

JFF wouldn’t have seen the field with Sherman as coach.

The 2011 was one of the most frustrating years I can recall as a fan. Such a good team with so many good players and completely and consistently out coached in the second half.

Sherman was fantastic at identifying and developing o line talent. Terrible game day coach unfortunately.

He dug his own grave when he came out publicly against the SEC move.

He had all those dudes in 2011 and went 7-6 (Tannehill instead of Manziel obv).

That's an assumption.

Sounds like Sherman was a frontrunning recruiter. He'd get his 4 and 5 star starters but forget about depth needed down the stretch. Which is a common mistake for coaches who come from the NFL where no one has any depth relative to the college game
