Statistical breakdown:

First Downs: UF 21, UK 13
3rd Downs: UF 4/13, UK 1/9
Total Yards: UF 382, UK 224
Passing Yards: UF 211, UK 87
Rushing Yards: UF 171, UK 137
Penalties: UF 15/115, UK 4/30
Turnovers: UF 1, UK 1
Time of Possession: UF 36:18, UK 23:42

UF outplayed UK in every major category except penalties and special teams yesterday.

How did they lose then? It means UF is an undisciplined football team, and it also means UF was poorly prepared, and poorly coached.

And that is Dan Mullen. All Dan Mullen.

Anymore UF sunshine pumpers going to defend this guy?

UF has a ceiling, and it isn't better, and NEVER will be better with Dan Mullen than Alabama or Georgia.

You're right.

Is it starting to sink in that Dan is a swashbuckling snake oil salesman yet?

I had an epic melt on this board last year after the LSU game in December that made me question why I put so much time and energy as a fan and alumnus into following UF football.

So no, I've known this for a while

You know Florida outgained Alabama by 100 yards as well.

He will always be MSU Dan. Does some really good things and then do things to erase the really good things.

And he’s not much of a recruiter.

JMO but I don't believe Dan is able to command discipline among his roster. It shows at the worse times.

I thought that Dan Mullen could reach his full potential at Florida but instead he's just turning Florida into Mississippi State.

Welcome to our world of the past 35 years. Many times UK outplayed UF and still wound up on the losing end. Now you know how frustrating that is. And we know how exhilirating it is to be on the winning end of such a game.

The reality of this statement has to absolutely sting the Gators.

True. But where is the Big Blue passing game that was on display in that first game of the season? This Kentucky team is starting to look super conservative again. Like so many Mark Stoops teams before it.

Only one stat matters. W or L.

The rest are just numbers

We only have 1 wide receiver in the starting rotation that can get separation. Well that and our first year starter transfer QB is missing open guys all over the field not going through his reads.

To be fair, that was against a lower-tier team. I think they’ve rightfully stuck with the bread and butter in the run game because it’s been consistent and successful. Levis still has a lot of work to do but he’s going to be a good player IMO. He needs some more consistent targets.

For the OP, I still can’t believe Mullen left points on the board at the end of the first half by sitting on three timeouts when he could’ve kicked a FG.

I don’t know if it was arrogance or what, but I’d have lost my shite over that one.
