How Bad is Auburn’s Offensive Line?

Auburn is in the middle of the SEC in rushing yards/game, with Byrum Brown being their leading rusher, and he has already been sacked 13 times.
Based on stats it looks like he has been running for his life a lot.
Jalen Milroe holds the record for most sacks in a season when he racked up 44 in 2023. Brown is on pace to break that record.
I have not watched any Auburn games. Are they real sacks, tackled behind the line on a pass play sacks, or are they Milroes, where he runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage without throwing the ball away?

Florida got to him 7 times, and it was clear the plan was to contain him from running around. If they would have called holding it would have been 10-12 sacks.
He holds the ball way too long and he has a slow release.
If I was Auburn I would be concerned about that o-line.

UF had 7 if it wasn’t for Zebra’s swallowing whistles on holds it could have legit been 10. We had 4 against Campbell and FAU. They are horrible we aren’t good defensively.

They have a few guys struggling on the line some. Curious to see what happens with that in the Vandy game.

Someone posted a video over the summer showing one of their lineman (an experienced transfer from Stanford with 16 career starts) getting stoned by a blocking sled. A lot of people piled on saying the Auburn offensive line sucked. I guess they do?

They’re legit sacks and he holds the ball seemingly forever. I’d need to watch the all 22, but I don’t think the secondary is good enough for coverage sacks. My impression is that he was freezing and losing track of time.

Not sure the #s but when I was watching the Baylor tape a guy from Oregon State I think was getting blown up quite a bit. He looked better against us though.

Ok, I’ll give you an honest objective answer. A turnstile in a New York subway stops more people than Auburn’s O line.
It is egregious. Couple that with the fact Brown’s windup is longer than War and Peace and bad things happen. To be a running back or QB at Auburn you have to acquire life insurance before signing any NIL deal.

If we massively improve over the season, we might scratch our way to 15 in the SEC.
We are in Super Bowl prep mode for the Razorbacks. We want a conference win to build on going forward.
I miss Charlie Chaplin’s false starts from last year. At least it was only 5 yards at a time. 56 whiffs or gets tossed to the QBs feet every play.
We need to have 56 take a 7 yard split so the QB knows that there will be pressure from that gap, but he does not have to dodge 56 beneath his feet and maybe he can get rid of the ball quicker.

Chris Capps would have won 12 Outland trophies compared to these slugs on the offensive line.
