The West Side of Kyle Field is all alumni seating old Press Boxes. Nice but very old school. So it is being rebuilt and modernized. Probably to provide more room in the concourses...

Tucker,

You can see how old and dumpy the west side is.

Night and Day.

Here is the overlay I posted a few pagfes back.

Some shots of the inside.
Main concourse on the first level.

Club lounge/2nd level concourse

Plus there is even nicer stuff for the suites, founders suites, and founders club.

Y'alls Founder's Club looks like the kind of place that will secretly stay open all through the year for big oil men to fly in and complete secret oligarchical deals that will cement the fate of all humanity, for both better and for worse (usually for worse).

"Where you off to, Earl?"
"Flyin' the Cesna up to CS to see if I can't wring a few extra pennies out of this a-hole's a-hole."
"Alright, well tell Lavern I miss her cooking and look forward to seeing her for the first game."

frick me.

Every time you fill up your car with gas realize that the Lone Star State produces roughly 35% of the U.S.'s oil production... or a little over 2.5 million barrels a day. Price of oil is what? $95/bbl? That's what? $86 billion last year?

I see nothing Oregon or Alabama don't already offer, except that new smell. All are very similar with a few different twists.

Well that's true, what with alabama construction workers defacing opposing stadiums with their filthy trashy disgsusting logo...

I wonder how many people were whacked to come up with the funds to build that place?

TX tour rolls on. At #TAMU.. Videos & pics don't even do the new facility justice. The bar for the rest of college football has been raised.

Thanks, Farmer, that puts it in perspective for me. It's a hell of a replacement for the west side of Kyle.

I wonder if they'll drop the old stands with explosives? Maybe too much risk to the rest of the stadium?

It just seems like such a huge project to take down and then rebuild in 9 months.

Apparently the construction crews we hired go hard in the paint

The first deck will be removed by machine, as they did the other half of the stadium (took less than a week, IIRC) the top two decks will be imploded.

That will be a fun day in College Station. I know I'm heading up for that.

The first decks are independent of the upper two...on both sides, and part of the original stadium.

I thought we were just going to just drop bags of money on it until it collapsed. I guess we are lolpoors after all.
