And hasn’t it been Texas that’s refused to schedule aTm? While aTm has pushed to restart the series asap?
They were too butthurt and not willing to do what was necessary scheduling-wise to continue the rivalry once A&M left which was a big mistake. Former AD Deloss Dodds said they would get to decide when the rivalry resumed as if that meant anything, and he even threatened other conference members re: scheduling A&M in the future.

I forgot about that. He was such an arrogant arse. But his arrogance woke up our leadership and got us to the best conference ever which kick started all our facilities improvements!

Same thing has happened at OU with the Riley surprise.

Watching Texas have to get in line and start taking marching orders from the SEC office in Birmingham is going to be so damn funny.

Wasn't referring to the typo, I knew what you meant.
If Texas and OU really wanted to be in the SEC ASAP, they would have negotiated their way out by now. Like all other teams do when they want out of a conference.
I simply don't believe that two of the biggest programs in the game are totally incapable of negotiating an early exit from a middling regional conference made up of glorified mid-majors.
They're stalling on purpose.
Its a very large sum of money. Without CFP expansion, it's to everyone's benefit for them to wait.

That Cincinnati defense was seriously something. They held Bama better than I ever thought possible. First time a baby conference team truly lived up to their billing IMO
Agree. Anyone that thought Cincinnati didn't belong in the playoffs last year wasn't seriously paying attention.

We must have watched a different game.

This. CFP expansion was a foregone conclusion, until the leak mobilized everyone against the SEC.
Adding Texas and OU without adding more post season games reduced the size of the pie.
For Texas, LHN subsidy ~ = Big 12 buyout. For OU, Big 12 buyout is cash out the door.
When does existing SEC TV contract expire? I don’t imagine ESPN will renegotiate until Texas and OU are in.

We will follow like a good soldier and play OU in Dallas every second week in October.

Will laugh when all 3 of those teams likely beat Texas and OU before they bolt for the SEC
They may beat Texass, but they are not beating OU. In fact I am not sure they will all even PLAY OU or Texass.

Big12 schools make more than ACC and Pac12 schools.

Anyone with half a brain could see this, which is why you have Aggies being Aggie in this topic.

We deserve to be in the SEC!

Cincinnati was down 14 at half. That's as good or better than Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ohio State have done recently against Alabama in losing efforts. It's also comparable to what Washington, Clemson, and Michigan State have done previously in losses to Alabama.

looking forward to all three of them kicking Texas's arse as a preamble to the Steers joining the SEC

Who do Oklahoma and Texas want to come to the SEC?
They have a much easier path in the big 12 and don't need us to recruit at a high caliber. It makes zero sense for them.
They will have to be getting beat by the likes of Bama and emerging superpowers Tennessee and UGA here as opposed to just cakewalking over big 12 scrubs anually.
Even Aggies will beat them up considering their oil money NIL resources. Then you got ole miss with kiffin and UF with Napier and LSU with the molestar.

UTX and OU will have to pay $80 million each as an exit fee. That fee does not change whenever they end up leaving.
The stickler is the TV rights contract. The Big 12 owns TV rights for OU/UTX through 2024 football season. The SEC is not gonna admit them until that is worked out. And FoxSports/Fox (Big 12 contract) is not gonna do Disney (new SEC TV pact) any favors on that.
