You skirts care about it more than Texas does outside of our limpwristed dipshit DEI basketball coach.

Longhorn fans and players do not want it as a penalty.

Not the actual fans. Just the other 50000 idiots on that campus.

That this is discussed shows how shitty this world has become. Offended by everything.

Wow. A Tennessee fan calling another coach a little bitch. Vitelio is epitome of little bitch.

Serious question for UT fans: why is horns down such a big deal? Was it actually not allowed in your last conference?

To almost all Longhorn fans, it's not a big deal. Quite the opposite, as mentioned above getting opposing fans to do the hook'em sign.
It was only a penalty if an opponent got up in a Longhorn players face with it after burning them on a play, basically taunting. If an opponent scored on a long pass or some big play and was running around the end zone it was OK as long as he wasn't taunting.

I want to add this extra bit for some historical accuracy. I'm an old, and I remember seeing it for the first time in 1969. It the 1969 Game of the Century. #1 Texas vs. #2 Arkansas with President Nixon dropping in by chopper to watch the game. Texas won 15-14 in come from behind victory. Hook'em.

Big deal about the horns down, you’re making a bigger deal out of it, or are you just looking for attention right now?
Ironically enough, the only people that actually care are members of other fanbases that great thread after thread accusing Texas fans of making a thing about it

And the ENTIRE fanbase turned on him for that, which resulted in the athletic director forcing him to apologize

Nobody gives a frick but you clueless pussies will create thread after thread about it regardless

I hope it is as well. In spite of aggy fairytales..if the SEC makes it a penalty it will be the first time ever.

It was never a big deal to the players, and every Texas-ex/fan I know gets a kick out of seeing gooners and aggy doing it when we are hundreds of miles away playing someone else.

To answer your question: in spite of aggy fairytales and wishful thinking, horns down was never a penalty in the Big 12. However ALL taunting using our own or another teams hand sign was ..but rarely enforced.

I've heard from many that it is a sign of "disrespect" and is tantamount to giving a Texas fan the finger.
Those few thin-skins are in for a rude awakening in the SEC. The vast majority of us are glad to be in such a competitive conference.
