The end of time? No. Just be lucky you're alive now to witness the the apex of Alabama football. When it's all said and done 1000's of years from now, bama will be towards the bottom of the middle of the pack.

neither Alabama nor its boosters ever paid Albert Means one dime.
Interesting. I'll concede, but in that case...
neither Auburn nor its boosters ever paid Cam Newton or his father one dime.Newton didn't see any of the money and didn't lose his eligibility because he didn't know he was being shopped (where have I heard that before) making all bammers claim that "Cam or Cecil Newton was paid $200,000" completely false.
I like facts, facts are fun

You're right but these fools don't want to hear it...hurts too much.
I wonder if they believe that the California Institute of Technology has to pay the best potential engineers coming out of high school each year to enroll there.

I never said Auburn paid Cam or his father.
I said Albert Means didn't lose his eligibility because the NCAA determined he didn't know he was being shopped. Cam didn't lose his eligibility because the NCAA determined he didn't know he was being shopped either. In that area, the cases were pretty much identical.
Where they differ is that unlike Alabama, Auburn (and Moo State) avoided sanctions because they didn't pay and/or are a whole lot smarter than Mike Dubose (which isn't terribly difficult). Either way, hats off to them.

believe the best high school athletes naturally want to play for the best coach of all time at the best program of all time.
There's nothing wrong with that.
Alabama has cemented themselves as the college football Sistine Chapel or Vatican City. Athletes want to go there. And future athletes will want to go there. Athletes will want to go there until the end of time.
Period.
