Stop relying on stats. Watch them play. Watson is head and shoulders better than Lawrence coming out of college.

I've been saying someone is going to jump on Mac way earlier than most people on this board think. He's the best pocket QB in the draft.

Did you watch True FR Lawrence play vs Bama in 2018?

Jones never trailed in a game. Was seldom rushed. Had wide open WR’s and a great running game.

No one knows what Jones will do in the NFL.

Patently false.

Georgia was beating them in the 3rd quarter, and then bad Tyson Campbell showed up and let Jaylen Waddle get behind him for a 90 yard TD. The floodgates opened shortly thereafter.

I did. He played well for a freshman. He benefitted from a struggling secondary and defensive staff in that game to a great extent. He acquired most his yards against Savion Smith who damn near quit in the middle of the game.

Not trying to take away what Lawrence did in that game. He and Clemson beat the hell out of Alabama that day. However, Lawrence hasn't been great in big games since. That game made his whole college career. If that game never happened he doesn't get nearly the overhyped publicity he's currently getting.

Lawrence will be a huge bust. Think Christian Hackenberg. Wilson will be the best. Fields is a wild card. Jones will be better than we expect in the league.

He will be out of the league as fast as Ginger McElroy was.

There’s a better chance that Jones isn’t the best qb drafted out of the sec west this year than he’s the best qb in the draft

Kellen Mond? That's an interesting take.

Last time Mac Jones played in a hostile environment he threw two pick sixes. He played well this year but I would like to see him in some hostile environments before I crown him Tom Brady.

They are the same team that traded up to take Trubisky. They don't exactly have the best track record w/QB's, and this would just continue that trend.

What an overdraft that would be.

Wouldn't bother me a bit of the Jags traded out of first to about 15th and got some more pics to go with it and took Mac at 15th. Jags need more talent than just Lawrence and could afford a growing yr with Mac

And Meyer will be having another "health issue" when the Jags are still losing 11-12 games w/Jones at QB.

You guys are waaaaayyyyy overhyping the dude. He's not that good.

10 400-plus yards passing performances in program history, the most by any one quarterback at UA and tied for the most in single-season SEC history ... Alabama's all-time single-season passing yardage leader with 4,500 in 2020 ... set the NCAA single-season record for completion percentage (77.4) ... finished with an NCAA-leading 201.1 passer rating and 96.1 QBR ... led all Division I quarterbacks with 4,500 passing yards

.. yeah, definitely not that good...
