He missed some time last year because of arm issues
Sometimes the injuries are hard to diagnose
Kind of like Jaden Hill, he was never truly healthy at LSU and eventually it led to surgery

The change-up can be so devastating. Go watch Giolito, Matz, Manaea, etc. Pair it with your heater and you're good to go.

He was the only proven starter we had coming back. This sucks. I knew we were in trouble last year when he got hurt before the tourney.

That blows arse. Best of luck to his recovery. I wish Prielipp had gotten his fixed last January instead of us losing him for two years.

Well I guess they need to adjust those rankings.

That sucks for sure. Luckily Arkansas has recruited well enough and has the coaching staff to overcome this.

Maybe so, but this loss definitely added a few more Ls on the schedule that wouldn't have been there otherwise.

Arkansas hasn't had real pitching depth since 2018 and it didn't come together until the middle of the year. However the hitting will keep them competitive. It looks like Arkansas will have the same pitching issues that kept them from going to Omaha last year.

Just looked it up. Between Kopps, Wicklander, Lockhart, Pallette (injury), Bolden, Monke, & Costeiu yall lose almost 400 innings from 2021. I don't care how you recruit, that's going to be very hard to replace.

I was pretty surprised we didn’t go after a transfer pitcher in the offseason. Outside of Noland it seems like everyone we throw this year is going to be a freshman or sophomore.

Yeah DVH is going to have to do another good coaching job to get them playing at a high level. Arkansas shouldn't have been ranked that high with the pitching issues of last year.

I would go play the younger pitchers now because the older ones have already proven they can't hold onto a weekend spot.

We should be okayish, but off the pace, in the regular season but that will bite us in the butt come regional and super regional play. Barring an incoming pitcher really steps up that is a huge blow to the Hogs this year.

Hate to see this, but it's an opportunity for someone else to step up. Don't give up on this team.

We did go after Dollander, but he chose Tenner and Voltello instead.

Needed to go get some pitching from the portal.

I doubt any guys that would come from the portal would be as talented as some of the arms currently on the team. They all just need a chance and experience.
