How do they justify this? Not that they’re hurting for money... but damn.

I was very concerned I’d roll in here and see JA like top 5.

We only have to pay $935,000 for LSU greatest alumni ever.

Well why should he be paid well. I mean he lets Bama get away with making its own schedule and paying the refs and doesnt do a thing about it

Vandy doesn’t have a traditional athletic department as that was done away with years ago, if I recall correctly. If there is someone there that’s in charge, I don’t think Vandy releases that type of info.

Too low, continuing Foley's dynasty. When Mullen starts winning championships, gonna rain cash.

Most of the time, I let this stupid “Vandy doesn’t have an athletic department’ go without responding. But every 100th time, I respond. Congratulations, you are the 100th though the door. I mean, are you doing this on purpose?
1 - we have an athletic department that we value SO much that we made it part of the University unlike the rest of you. We actuallly have an atletetic HQ at McGugin. We even have coaches and staff - imagine that for a school that doesn’t have an athletic department.
2- David Williams receives a lot of money but most of it is due to compensation or retirement payments from his previously being a law professor and being the Chief Counsel of the University. I believe he currently has 2 titles: Vice Chancellor for Athletics and University Affairs and also Athletic Director.
3-DW, aka “The Goldfather” is a pretty cool guy.

I’m not following the question. NU isn’t Ohio State, so they shouldn’t pay the best athletic director a top salary?
They are better able to cover that salary than just about any other university playing major college athletics.

Since when is Jim Phillips “the best” anything? Did I miss something?
