You obviously haven't watched him play. Or Emory for that matter.

True. Anyone who thinks Emory is better, or gives Florida a better chance of winning is a retard.

An easy one would be if you go back a couple games he drops back, misses a protection check, then misses the hot throw, then misses the primary read, and then scrambles around and runs and everybody thinks, ‘What a spectacular play!’”

This is the play he’s talking about:

LINK

It’s the first play. He has a point. That fifth rusher was a linebacker and Richardson didn’t set the protection on an obvious blitz. He didn’t hit the hot route for 5 yards. He instead did something amazingly impressive. But there’s no way he makes that play against Alabama this weekend. That’s probably a 7 yard loss on a sack.

Coaches usually know more than fans.

Hmm. If I’m not mistaken you were banned on the Alabama board. Not long after Army Tide shows up. Both of you apparently think Richardson is the best qb in the nation and both of you seem to dislike Saban. I smell an alter, or actually 2 alters, and it ain’t a for real Alabama fan

No alter here, but TideSaint didn't care for the rebuttal just the same. Mods with the emotional stability of a typical fanatic along with insecurity issues really need to find something else to do.

Like come out and play on the Rant. I dare you TS.

What OP is missing is that Emory Jones is playing like Feleipe Franks.

He misses reads and when he makes a correct read, it's too late and he throws an interception.

Richardson is probably not the starter primarily because he has less mastery of the offense than Emory, which greatly limits the openness of the offense. On the other hand, Emory's mastery of the offense is limited by his ability.

That's sort of what I was getting at. Yeah, those types of players can, and do, win their team some games. But, they also start thinking they can go win all the games themselves and sometimes completely sabotage what could have been a winning gameplan.

He also threw the ball really well. 3/3 for a 152 yds. And 2 td's.

Yeah but the first game, he was 3of8 for 40 yds. So he is under 55% completions on the year.

But at least he hasn't thrown 4 int's that could very easily be 6. You throw 2 int's in SEC games you usually lose.

Meanwhile Emory makes the correct protection check , sees the hot read and misses the throw. Dan is just trying to justify his decision. Florida is a better team with Richardson.

The problem is , once there’s enough tape. The fact you don’t know what the heck your doing catches up to you.

You just described Emory. He holds the ball way too long, stares down his receiver, and then throws it to the other team.

I mean, I'm about half her age so I'm not too worried about what she would or would not do with me.

He isn’t getting blasted by SEC defenses anymore than Mazjel or Newton or Tebow were. Richardson is bigger than most defenders on the other side I think he will be fine running at them. He is larger than a majority of RBs…so not to worried

Ehhh, what?? The guy who had 560 yards of total offense, 5 TDs and 71% completion is the reason A&M lost 49-42? How about our putrid defense that year?

Exactly. It’s all relative to your better options. Is AR’s development better off learning the offense? Year sure but you only get so man practices and some guys take longer than others. You need to win games now so you ride with who gives you the best option. A good coach finds a way to put his best players in a position to make plays. Let the center call protections if you have to. Call audibles from the sidelines so the QB doesn’t have to make as many reads. I’m oversimplifying but you don’t let great be the enemy of good.

Exactly. Do what you have to do to get your best players on the field and feature them. If that means going with a pop warner playbook, then so be it.

Yeah, Cam Newton.
