Awesome. I just keep picturing all the conference commissioners playing Risk...and Slive with a cigar, a scotch, and a smile!

Might as well add Baylor. Adding Okie Lite would be like adding West Virginia. No added value.

If Va Tech goes to SEC...I hope we also get UVA...

...FSU and Clemson will join Big 12...

...acc takes in Uconn, Louisville, Cincy, maybe Memphis... Who else?..?

Have i missed anything?

I'm still holding out hope for UAB and Memphis. But they may hurt recruiting for Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Basketball will also be greatly improved.

Agreed.

Of course I felt like the 12-team SEC was perfect. Its pretty much all I knew.

I'm sure some older SEC fans feel differently.

This shite is getting awkward fast.

If Virginia Tech can get into the SEC they must jump on it. Tell the politicans you would schedule UVA nonconference every year like Florida-Florida State Clemson-South Carolina UGA-Tech, UK-Louisville.

Suprised Weaver opened this big mouth. The race is one between the Virginia and North Carolina schools to the SEC.

Remember boys it's about money and tv viewers. Okie state has neither.

Virginia and another school from North Carolina.

Virginia Tech fits, but I can't see Okie State parting with Oklahoma unless OU makes the first move out west in another Big 12 meltdown leaving them behind. I'd rather see NC (much better academics than Okie State, similar sports success), but everything I've read says they won't leave Duke. And I'm pretty sure we can agree we don't want Duke.

I don't think UVA would be as bitter with V Tech as UT was with A&M.

I'm with you. 12 was a perfect mix and everything was going great...no offense to A&M.

If we're going to add teams, let's make a hard run at UNC and/or Duke. I know that's the heart of the ACC, but with the way alignment is heading, they could easily find themselves outside of a bigtime conference. Adding them wont make the the SEC football schedule tougher but it bolster the basketball side as well as add the Carolina market.

#Hokies AD Jim Weaver says there "may be potential interest" in talking with the #SEC about future membership. Defers comment otherwise.

That's interesting. I thought Slive and Swofford had a non-poaching gentlemen's agreement. Apparently that basketball first direction the ACC took is going to cost them. Good deal, VaTech and N.C. State maybe.

Don't want anymore damn teams. When this realignment happens all the old teams should secede and form "The old south conference" Frick realignment.
