Doesn't necessarily have to have hook ups but thinking more about Gameday tailgate etc. Anywhere other than the Fairgrounds 3 miles away?

Is it just a beach out there on Horn Island? Looks amazing.

Also, is it family friendly or a big party? We'll have the kids with us.

I can't tell if any of them have beach access.

Also, are the beaches nice? Was thinking about Gulf Shores, but Biloxi is closer and has Casinos.

We don't need hook ups or anything, just a place to come in early Sat morning to tailgate. Then we'll probably leave right after the game.

Looks like there is a RV park south about 3 miles on the river, but thats too far to walk to stadium from.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

One of the big reasons I was so glad we got out of B12...

Went to Ole Miss this past year and had more fun than any B12 roadie. Great fans, cool atmosphere etc. Stadium is a little on the run down side at least where we were, but loud and into the game. Very SEC like which if very un B12.

Trying to make Ark & LSU this year. Drove by LSU last Spring Break, and Tiger Stadium also looks very run down. However, I have zero doubt that matters once the sun goes down and the lights go on. Can't wait.

I'm certain Slive won't make the first move. Let Delaney kill the ACC and then move in. No reason to shake up the status quo because we're winning on and off the field. But if it does get shaken up, make your move.

And to clarify, the reason hoops doesn't matter is that the lions share of the revenue comes from the NCAA tourney. The regular season is peanuts. So Duke brings nothing more than some warm fuzzies and more Dickie V covering SEC hoops.

With all due respect, you're wrong. It's 110% about TV sets & Football.

The academics, cultural fit, basketball & other sports etc all make great sound bytes but have to be considered "gravy".

Slive knew the network was could be a game changer IF he added more TV sets. Enter our Ags to deliver the great state of Texas & Mizzou for St. Louis & Kansas City. We always have had the potential to (re)join the football powers but were not at the time the deal was struck. We brought the Texas TV market and a big football fan base. Our academics and cultural fit which are both ideal for SEC were just gravy.

Unless you feel you're (Bama) to the point where you'd take a pay cut to get Duke on your hoops schedule then you're wrong about it being worth it. Football TV dollars>>>>>>Hoops TV dollars.
