Nothing wrong with your post and certainly nothing wrong with Hooker exercising his faith. But this quoted statement is objectively false. Being quiet about your faith is directly opposite from what the Bible commands.

It depends on which chapter you're reading. That's the great thing about the bible, it's so contradictory, you can justify whatever you want. Truly a book of the people.

quote:

Romans 14:22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

quote:

Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

Tebow seems pretty genuine to me.

Right it's better to just let the tranny book reading clubs run wild. There is nothing wrong with teaching kids, especially ones in troubled home/family environments christianity and good moral values.

In case you haven't noticed, there is an agenda going on right now to literally encourage kids to be gay and all sorts of other crap.

What Hooker is doing is much needed in today's world.

Hell they are even pushing satanism openly in the media now if you open your eyes. Statues have been built in a lot of major cities. The whole extremity of gay rights promotion is part of that satanic agenda. lt is disguised as simply protecting gay people. No, it is designed to encourage everyone to be fricked up starting at a young age

Well said

I think Tebow is pretty genuine as well. Could care less what his faith is or isn't but the guy does a lot of good. I also see how people might get put off by him charging $50K for giving speeches but I'd be lying if I said that wouldn't be a sweet gig if I had that opportunity.

How does it feel to be a gullible pearl-clutching idiot?

He's kinda right. Just this week, an NBA player was fined $40,000 dollars by the NBA because he posted a video on social media. In the video, a group of men in bras walked by, and he said, "man, look at these queer arse ****s."

He was fined for "anti-gay" comments.

No word on how much he was fined for his use of the n-word.

It's not contradictory. You just have to read it in context, like any other written work. The enemies of God always look to twist scripture to make it seem unreliable, giving them an excuse to reject it as truth.

But specific to your complaint: the passage in Romans 14 is about not practicing your faith in a way that causes your brother in Christ to sin. More specifically, Paul is talking about eating food sacrificed to idols. Some Christians were saved out of Roman paganism that sacrificed animals to the gods and then sold the meat at the meat markets, which the Christians saved out of pagan religion found objectionable to eat. Paul is telling Christians not to flaunt their liberty to eat meat in front of such brothers and sisters, causing them to violate their consciences and sin.

The Mark passage is the Great Commission, where Jesus tells His disciples to go throughout the world, proclaiming the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is not in conflict at all with the Romans passage, because they are talking about different things. The Mark passage speaks to general evangelism to non-Christians while the Romans passage speaks to Christians specifically about how they should treat others in love with how they practice their faith.

But back on topic: I find it interesting how people are against Hooker making kids books that promote Christianity. The message of Christianity is much, much different than the message of the LGBTQ+ community that tries to normalize their sexual preferences.

Ok, let's say you're right.

How about this one? Also out of context, I bet.

quote:

Matt 6: “Be careful that you don’t practice your religion in front of people to draw their attention. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

The bible is loaded with truths about a lot of things. Anything who thinks it's full of just fairy tales is a literal moron who lacks reading comprehension and ability to do basic research.

Most people saying that crap have probably never actually even bothered to read it. There is a good reason why it's the number one selling book of all time.

I'm cool with all this as long as Hendon writes a story about Ezekiel 23:20. You know the one about where the Egyptians have giant cocks and how they cum like Horses.

When I was a kid I liked the dirty parts of the Bible.

Yo, those verses don't contradict.

Review your Ehrman and try again. (But you're not going to find one. Because despite what edgelords on the internet and quack "scholars" say, the Bible doesn't contradict itself)

This one refutes your use of it right in the very citation:
quote:

Be careful that you don’t practice your religion in front of people to draw their attention

Try again

As a side note, it will always be funny to me when people hand wave away context as if it isn't a critical aspect of understanding any communication.

You really suck at basic human communication.

Also...you need to realize that the most fundamental truth is often paradoxical.

"Light is a wave, not a particle. Light is a particle, not a wave."

"Space is infinitely divisible, and space is not infinitely divisible."

"Humans are good, and humans are not good."

If the Bible didn't contains elements of perceived paradox, it ought to immediately be dismissed as a book of fundamental importance.
