1966, bama was 2 time defending national champions, then went undefeated and untied, and dropped from #1 to #3 in the AP final vote (only time in history this has happened), blemished ND and MichSt finished ahead.

Sure. Sounds like a legit claim to me.

Bama 1966 NC.

Any GUMP that thinks Ingram was as good as Bo is dumb. Ingram played on a team with the most ALL AMERICANS on one team , EVER.

So, have we settled that Onterio McCalebb was better than Bo, Ingram, DMAC, TRich, and Adrian Peterson?

That's what the STATS said, didn't they?

True. But only two of them played on offense (Ingram and Mike Johnson).

Meh

We had an infinitely better resume than anyone else in 1983 but didn't win it. Sucks.

Have the leg humpers been in here to say The Herschel's were better than Ingram and Bo or has this thread mainly been a Bama-Auburn circle jerk?

Herschel Walker = greatest SEC running back ever, and possibly the greatest ever (but I tend to lean toward Barry Sanders)

It's ok, we'll never hear Ingram's name in terms of post collegiate sports accomplishments.. They'll continue to make documentaries about the legend that is Bo Jackson.
