But I'm curious what sort of pro those of you that watch Tua think he'll be.

I don’t think he’s gonna join the Redskins or Dolphins and be a one man wrecking crew carrying the franchise. But if he fell to an average team running a west coast offense he could be a starter for a decade and make some pro bowls

It is hard to tell because his receives get so damn wide open.

So far, yes. We will know more when there is a defense that can pressure him and jam the WRs to an extent.

That said, his ability to read the defense has increased tremendously, at least according to my own eyes. He may have only thrown a dozen bad balls all year, if that.

He is playing more like an NFL QB. Taking the check downs, and what the defense gives you cannot be underestimated.

He's going to be the best of the available QB's in the draft as a result

Funny you say that. Let’s do 20 yards

The SEC Passers with the best Completion% on Deep Passes (20+ ADOT, healthy + min 6 atts)

1. J. Burrow 63.2%
2. J. Guarantano 46.2%
3. T. Tagovailoa 42.9%
3. K. Trask 42.9%
5. B. Nix 40.6%

The SEC Average is 33.3%

he won’t get completely shut down like he did last season against Georgia and Clemson.

I think Sark has him in an offense that's better suited to his skill set. This west coast offense mixed with a little spread, rpo element is perfect for what he does best and is harder to defend than last year's offense. We're sustaining drives much better.

Conversely our offense really was a better fit for Jalen last year and he had the physicality to run that offense better.

He was injured and his effectiveness declined but he was not completely shut down vs UGA or Clemson. Against Clemson Bama gained ~450 yards but failed in the red zone, then missed FGs, then eschewed FGs and failed on 4th down. The 16 points was completely misleading in respect to Bama's ability to move the ball up and down the field.

I would take him over Burrow in a heartbeat.

Ole Miss would take anybody over the garbage under center in oxford.

He'll excell as a professional quarterback. Better for him if he drops a few positions in the 1rst rd of the NFL draft.

Championships are not won by the qb alone

He got all caught up in "every throw's a TD, and I'm the best ever" rat poison last year.

Yes, he's better this year ,,.he's learned to take what's there and move on to the next play

If he could get 1 more year at the college level he'd really be great.

1st pick for anyone this year is basically a prison sentence until their first contract ends.

Fairpoint. One thing about his play this year... the defense (or lack thereof) has allowed him to have at least SOME game time late in the contest.

He has gotten better at checking down and taking what the defense gives him.

I keep seeing this, but it’s just not factual. His receivers are playing games to see who gets the ball, he knows exactly where the ball is going before the play is in motion.
