It's still way too early, but here is my best guess after two weeks:

1. Alabama
Not sold yet that this Bama team is as great as their National Championship teams in the past. But they are currently hands down the best team in the league.

2. LSU
LSU sits here by default. They've played nobody, and the jury is still out on Coach O. We'll learn more this week.

3. Georgia
We've looked sloppy at times, but I think there is certain improvement... definitely on the defensive side at least.

4. Auburn
While the offense looks bad, the defense may be the best Auburn has seen since the mid 2000s when Auburn was known for their defense. The offense can't be worse than last year, and the defense appears to be better. Auburn went to the Sugar Bowl last season despite horrid offensive production, so I still think this team wins 8-9 games.

5. South Carolina
I said back in July I thought there was a decent chance South Carolina makes it to the Georgia game with an undefeated record. They are still on pace for that. CWM will likely be SEC COTY.

6. Mississippi State
Who knows? This team has played no one. Just like LSU above, we'll know more after Saturday.

7. Vanderbilt
Yes, Vandy. They seem to have a very strong defense and they've slowly been getting better as a program the past couple of years. Yes, it's a crazy year when South Carolina, Miss St and Vandy all make the top half of the league.

8. Tennessee
We'll find out more Saturday, but right now I give them the slight edge over Florida.

9. Florida
They get the benefit of the doubt because Michigan may turn out to be a solid team. But things do not look good in Gainesville, and this #9 ranking may be a bit generous.

10. Texas A&M
I still believe there is talent on this team. The offense looked great in the first half at UCLA, then it all fell apart. Teams 9-14 all appear to be bad teams, but at least Texas A&M showed their potential in that first half in the Rose Bowl.

11. Arkansas
12. Ole Miss
13. Missouri
14. Kentucky

For me, as of right this second. (Not a projection on where they will be)

1. Bama
2. Georgia
3. LSU
4. South Carolina
5. Tennessee
6. Mississippi State
7. Auburn
8. Vandy
9. Florida
10. Ole Miss
11. Arkansas
12. Kentucky
13. Missouri
14. Texas A&M

I put UGA ahead of LSU because I respect them going to Notre Dame and getting a win with a Fr. QB.

I would like to state that should this happen, I will become unbearable on tRant. I will show tRant a level of thread bumping the likes of which have never been seen before.

You have all been warned.

Same here. I think LSU has the better team, but UGA has the better resume so far.

1. Bama
2. UGA (they won a grinder against at least a decent opponent)
3-4. LSU/Auburn (Auburn lost a one-possession game to #3)
4. USCe
5. State (still early to tell to put them higher)
6. The rest

Post your rankings, #1 - #14 of SEC teams based on what you've seen so far.

Obviously, Alabama is #1.

Obviously, Texas A&M is #13

A&M has talent. Coach has shite for brains, and is a lame duck. Stick them in the basement, and start the coaching search now

I think people are selling short a really good Auburn team. They just played a great Clemson team pretty darn well in Death Valley. I also see their offense improving as the season goes on. And I'll admit that after MSU, I really have no idea.

1. Alabama
2. Auburn
3. LSU
4. Georgia
5. Mississippi State
6. Tennessee
7. South Carolina
8. Florida
9. Ole Miss
10. Arkansas
11. Missouri
12. Kentucky

14. Vanderbilt

How TF could anyone put Mizzou anywhere but #14...they gave up half a mile of offense and 43 points to a bad FCS team, looked miserable against a middle of the road sec team in South Carolina and fired their D.C. after 2 weeks...:about as disfunctuonal as a 2014 first year Derek Mason team...

I've got Mizzou ahead of UK although neither have impressed and are likely interchangeable.
