For the casual reader, this Jeremy Pruitt is a chef in Ohio. When Jeremy Pruitt was being interviewed for the MSU job, several fans tweeted the chef by mistake. The chef responded to tweets. One thing led to another, and he became an MSU fan favorite. It was mildly amusing for a few days.

Started before that but it certainly amplified it. And it wasn't news to us. We knew he was a Bama grad. Which also probably didn't help his popularity with his schtick. Whether it was news to others that he was, I'm not sure.
