And yet, we are the ones that own the overall record. How is Bama trying to catch up to auburn exactly?

Yeah if you look at the W & L....Auburn is closing the gap. Other than that, NOPE, not nearly on the level as Bama.

There are two glaring gaps that will probably never close: sec championships and national championships...just sayin...

Depends on whether AU and the other schools in America start claiming them the way bammer started doing in the 80s.

8 poll titles. You can't just claim those.

Auburn is on it's first good season in a while. It hasn't won anything yet, bama has won the west twice and a national title the last 2 seasons. Nuff said. Next year Bama will be preseason top 5 and auburn will be lucky to win 8 or 9 games. Bama is on it's 4th straight top 5 recruiting class, auburn isn't even in the top 20.

2. bammer has had two good seasons...2. Two. Dos.

3. if you guys keep predicting bad shite for AU, we may never lose again. Thanks.

I don't think these count ever, but definitely not until after national signing day.

it wasn't until recently that i thought that bama was the elite program in alabama. you see, for most of my lifetime, i always considered auburn the tougher opponent.

I've been an avid college football watcher for about 15 years and in that time Auburn has been much more relevant than Bama so this thread kind of confuses me. Bama is much bigger historically and has been more successful the last couple years, but as far as who is catching who it's been bama playing catch up until recently.
