re: Bama's Defense is it the best...

No....you lost a game this season...for that reason alone i would still say '92 is your best ever....or your '09...
The best college defense ever is still miami 2001 or whatever year they had Ed Reed when they won the title.

Couldn't have anything to do with BAMA's D huh?

nope....mostly due to LSU playing awful and their coaching staff making stupid decisions and their QB making no decisions.

understanding football is the most important thing one can possibly grasp...it is the measure of all true intelligence.

it isn't rocket science to cover #17 in red.....LSU played like garbage and deservedly lost.

hahaha.....whatever...you guys won the game so good on you.....but your opponent was flat all night...and LSU maybe more than any other team in America thrives on intensity and big plays.

I don't think it was a brilliant gameplan....it had more to do with LSU showing up with the intensity of a newborn infant.
alabama played harder..the end.

re: OC leaving Bama a distraction?

Bama has 4 plays:
1. trent up the middle
2. screen to maze
3. screen to smelley
4. flea flicker (can substitute other desperation throw for this)
The OC leaving doesn't matter at all....a monkey could call their plays and for all we know, since we never see their OC interviewed, a monkey may actually be the OC

LSU team, coaches, fans, alumnuseseses, casual fans, people who have driven through Louisiana and liked it, people who have watched an LSU game or two, etc, etc, et cetera.....
May the force be with you all tonight....you are playing a revenge-hungry team that is not above cheating and that has in its employ the nastiest, cheatingest, lowest piece of monkey crap coach in college history....
You will need positive thoughts sent from fans around the globe and i believe you will get them. Please for all that is right about America: beat bama.

college football is so gay...

I would LOVE for you to be right...if AU pulled the upset, I would lose about 100 facebook friends within 3 hours.

ivan maisel is from a wealthy mobile, al family that are all bama alums.
Brad Edwards is a bama grad.
Rece Davis is a bama grad.
I don't know if those guys have enough power of persuasion to sell their co-workers on a rematch, but you never know...
Plus people have a hard-on for 'traditional powers' (teams that were good before integration)....

dude....let me save you some money...don't even consider putting anything on us to beat them. Our team has gotten worse every single week this year.
The only fix for us is to get to the offseason, get a full 85 on the team, and make sure Frazier is ready to run the offense next year.
My prediction for the Ironing Bowl is something like 56-3

it just sucks because BAMA is in a much better situation than you are....sure, you get to destroy UGA but injuries can happen....
Then you have the whole issue of having to beat BAMA again and that won't be easy.
In your favor is being in Louisiana and putting that D on field turf where they will be even faster.

True but if they played Arky now, i'm not sure it would be that way....

We have no, and i mean NO, chance of beating them with our 74 players......we are YOUNG...as young as we've ever been....and not only young but poorly coached on Defense and Gus calls the same 5 plays on offense over and over.
if we keep the game to within 40 points, i'll be surprised.

as we were in 2004.
There were arguments that year for why you can't move an undefeated team down in favor of another undefeated team, even though that logic hasn't been used since that time. Stats, SOS, etc, were all thrown out the window in favor of what the media wanted.
IMO, and i'm rarely wrong, you guys are getting totally screwed with this BAMA NATIONAL TITLE UNIVERSITY rematch talk.
It's hard to beat a team twice that is as close in talent as BNTU is to you guys.
Total disrespect for LSU. The win in tuscaloosa is worthless now....you would have been better off to have lost the game.
Condolences.....it just ain't right but college football has a derp system.

re: I was worried. But then I looked over on the sideline, saw Saban, & felt better

This is a wise thread, but the bama fans refuse to see it. Part of that is based on the fact that people in Alabama are used to dictatorial rule. They had it with George Wallace, they had it with Bear Bryant and now they have it with Saban. It's all they understand.
Nothing about the program at BAMA says "fun." It says "work."
This is the excact reason Auburn, who had no business in the game during Iron Bowl 09, took bama down to the wire that year. Saban was coaching not to lose....
It's also the reason Auburn won last year. You can't coach not to lose against an offense like AU's last year. It bit Saban big time in their last two home losses.

Regardless of what happened last night I can't think of a Coach I'd rather have.

Good enough. Enjoy your loss, then.
