Sure hope so. It’s past time a D1 school in the state finally wins an outright national championship.

Would be the 1st NCAA championship for any school in Mississippi. Of course, we are also the only school to have played for 3 National Championships in the past 6 years in the state of Mississippi.

Like you would be pulling for any Ole Miss team that was in position to win a national title

I'll admit, I would not. Not in a million years.

Which is why this whole "Pull for the state of Mississippi" thing is bullshite. Just like when we were both undefeated in football for a while in 2014. It's pathetic.

I hope State can win but I'm happy ND beat bitchass UConn. That said, I can deal with ND hoops (both men and women) in comparison to their FB program.

Truth, god knows I wouldn't root for FSU in much of anything for "state pride" purposes (although if they played UGA, I might still root for a meteor)

Wrong. The NCAA officially recognizes Ole Miss's 1960 national championship:

The NCAA recognizes the title, but they themselves don't sponsor it. We would just be the only school without a NCAA sanctioned team title. I'd take the football title every time though
