Had Saban not been offered the Alabama job, where do you think he would've coached at?

I remembered Rich Rodriguez was first offered the Alabama job and turned it down and Saban was offered it right after.
What schools was he interested in at the time

Ironically the U had shitcanned Coker so that could have been a possibility. That would have been wild.

That was during the Donna Shalaha days though. Miami wasn't committed like they are now.

Texas. I think he would have been there eventually. He was well on his way there in 2013.

“There was a moment back in, I believe it was 2013, Nick Saban had won three national championships at Alabama, and he had won one at LSU, so he had four national titles under his belt,” Klatt said. “And guys, I’m telling you, that deal of him taking the Texas head job post Mack Brown was, I mean, all but signed, sealed, and delivered. It was right there.”

I doubt it's true but I love the urban legend about Paul Finebaum supposedly making fun of Rich Rod's wife.

Good chance Tennessee couldve gotten him if the years lined up. Our then AD liked the concept of the NFL coach coming to college which is why he pursued Lane Kiffin and Jon Gruden. If Saban has been looking for a job in January 2009, he mightve ended up at Tennessee

So they were gonna hire him back after they fired him.... or did he call bama and ask about the job before he was sh!t canned?

That little half pint Ewok was still employed by Miami, looked everyone in the Dolphins organization right in the eyes, told them he was not taking the bama job, then he took the bama job a few days later.

We had no cause to fire Miles at the time. He was doing too well to lose his job.

Saban was not fired by the Dolphins. He resigned. Why are you making up history?
Nick Saban Leaves Dolphins for Alabama

Nick Saban is 'Bama bound.
Ending five weeks of speculation and two days of deliberation, Saban accepted the Alabama coaching job and abandoned his bid to rebuild the Miami Dolphins after only two seasons.
He informed Miami owner Wayne Huizenga of the decision Wednesday. Huizenga announced the departure at a news conference, without Saban. Huizenga said he met with the coach at Saban's house this morning.
Had he not taken the Alabama job he almost certainly continues coaching the Dolphins for at least one more season.
