I'm not getting a good feeling about all of this.

Good God.
8 pages in less than 30 minutes.
EDIT - NINE pages in less than 30 minutes.
Probably more.

alabama played an ineligible player. it's pretty simple actually
Many ineligible players if you couple this with what we already know

Saban has lost control of his defensive backfield.

Clinton-Dix has provided bank records to UA athletic compliance department representatives that show a withdrawal in the amount he said he repaid to Harris, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.
From the article, I know reading is difficult for you, but try it.
I'm not even sure why this matters. So he took out money of his bank account. I do it all the time.

This has been a monumental achievement for LSU fans everywhere

either way. Probably because he was a recruit and not a current player.
It was after he signed his LOI.

Not to make a mole hill out of a mountain, but the investigation says he didn't have contact with an agent. That received less than 500 dollars and provided bank records to support it.
Not to jump on the pile but...Georgia Tech had to vacate an ACC title over less than 500 dollars just a couple of years ago.

His bank records tell the story, dude. They would have a date and time for the withdrawal.

The smoke is getting thicker and thicker. The machine hard at work.

It does not prove anything but a withdrawal

This is probably the best day of 2013 so far.

The money was given to Clinton-Dix in the summer and it was paid back during the summer.
So...he wouldn't have been ineligible for the A&M game. Sorry.
lol, not the first time i've seen this reasoning ITT. that is not what the rule says. where are you getting this interpretation? a loan, by definition, is money to be paid back. the rule specifically says coaches cannot provide loans to players. it doesn't say they're ok as long as the money is paid in full before the season starts

So this comes out when they get to their brutal October part of their schedule?
Amazing isn't it? Of all times it comes out after the Ole Miss game and as far away from the LSU game as possible.

Apparently this happened during the summer. The money was given to Clinton-Dix in the summer and it was paid back during the summer.
So...he wouldn't have been ineligible for the A&M game. Sorry.
When it happened and when he paid the money back matters not to the question of eligibility.
The question is what did Bama know and when did they know it.
So long as they just found out this week and quickly acted on the information, then they are probably okay.
When he paid the money back matters not at all.

The only difference between Bama and TAMU & Auburn is Alabama reports their infractions and TAMU , Auburn and others try to cover them up with lawyers.
Yep, that's the only difference. Bama is a shining beacon of character and fortitude.
Two decades since probation.. Feels good.
