Last night my daddy was moved from ICU into hospice.
I can’t think. I can’t breathe. I can’t talk. I’m gutted.
Life without him isn’t going to be livable.
How do I say goodbye?
I'm so sorry EKG. You've always been my favorite Aggie poster. I hate to know youre going through this type of pain with your dad. Try to think of the good times you've had with him. I know its difficult to focus on anything like that right now. Sent up a prayer for you and your dad and will continue to.

Like many have said that’s way too young. My dad passed away at 60 and that was fifteen years ago last month. Seems crazy to me that it’s been so long because I still think of him everyday. In my experience you don’t get over the loss but you will get better at dealing with it. You’ll be surprised by situations that hit you out of nowhere and trigger memories that make you break out in tears or sometimes laughter reminding you that even though they’re gone they’re always around. God bless you and your family.

I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through and I’m dreading the day I have to go through this with my dad being 61 at the moment. My dad is the one who taught me to be an Aggie and he’s the one that I sit with for every Aggie football game since I was 6-7 years old and I hope he can sit with his grandkids at Aggie games one day. May God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to you.
I lost my dad a couple of years ago and he was my best sports buddy too. After many years of family season tickets to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, I took my first trip back for a game without him and while it was not the same, I did have a sense of peace and memories come flooding over me that almost felt like he was there and brought a smile.
I can’t say that the hole that gets left in the heart ever quite goes away but in time, the hurt and rawness of right now will be replaced by more immediate thoughts of all the memories of the good and happy times spent together. And those you will have with you always.
Prayers and peace to you and your family.

Well guys, I know this will probably be frowned upon or trolled, but to everyone else, I’m going to step away for a few days or some time. My dad entered Hospice a few days ago, and today his spirit is at peace. He was 59 years young. It still doesn’t feel real to me, but he’s in a better place. He loved sports as much as me, and definitely caught many Aggie games in all Big 3 sports, soccer, boxing, baseball games over the years with me.
You guys were a good distraction over the past few weeks when I was spending my nights at the hospital. I lost my biggest sports buddy, and it hurts. I’m going to keep up with the bball and baseball season to distract my mind, and lurk on the board or see what happens. My feelings seem to hit me waves.
I wish you guys all good health, good luck to your teams in bball and baseball, and I’ll see you guys around. Peace out.
I'm so sorry. Praying for you and yours.
