Fleck is probably the most likely to get the job and Leach is a possibility from what I have been reading around the web.

I was confused by the thread title. I thought I was going to see the list made by Gus for the FSU job. Was expecting to see a list written in crayon that included Saban, O, Kirby, and Mullen.

That because Kentucky likes winning 8 games. Auburn does not.

Stoops is always the first name but he is technically coaching again and you never know.

I think they shoot for Fleck or Campbell.

I was really hoping Taggart won enough to keep his job this year. FSU was never a remote threat with him there.

FSU AD clearly said a decision will not be made this week. As a lifetime Seminole fan, I tell you, we have our Man. If this team fights for Odell the way they did when Judas Jimbo left 2 years ago, and beats a heavily favored BC team on the road, there will be no need to search anywhere and all these names drops stop. Win again at home. Beat Florida in Gainesville. Make a bowl and win it. Why would this man that loves our school and can salvage the program, not be considered? Former players want Odell. Real FSU fans want Odell. He earn this. If this team can win out under his leadership, Odell Haggins deserves this job hands down.

honestly, if hes smart, he would go... way easier conference... i thought collins was smart to go to GA Tech... he can win there... just beat clemson, and have fertile recruiting grounds.. plus big time degree...

Outside of Odell, I would prefer Gus Malzahn. It would be a perfect fir for us. And any Seminole fan that disagrees can kick rocks.

Reasonable list, but Auburn is not giving Gus a golden parachute. We are not going to pay him 26 million to go to FSU. Writer knows nothing.

Gus Malzahn, Auburn

Gus has been on a revolving hot seat during his time on the Plains and even with eight or nine wins this year might be given a golden parachute by the Tigers to finally end the rocky relationship. FSU fans know Malzahn can lead his team to the final game of the year after all and he can bring pedigree and coaching experience other candidates lack. It’s a bit outside the box but ticks a lot of boxes when you think about it.

We wouldn't fire him if FSU wanted him, we'd let them hire him away from us.

Technically, he (or they) would owe us $7 million (only $5m if he left after 1/1/20). But I imagine we would negotiate that down.

This is all moot, however. Just Jimmy Sexton doing Jimmy Sexton things. Gustav ain't goin' anywhere.

Odell is a modest man. I've had the pleasure to have met him once in Tallahassee at the spring Garnet and Gold game. Trust me. The man wants this job. He just wants them to step up and offer it. And for the University, its the right thing to do. Let Odell finish the season. There will be no question that this is the right thing to do.

Lol, this isn't gonna happen. It was probably an Auburn fan that started the rumor. Theye stuck with the bus for another season or 2 with that buyout they gave him, unless he completely before the next couple of seasons are done already. He will have to miss on a bowl or something that drastic for them to fire him and pay that insane and unwarranted buyout they gave the bus. Then, if they want a coach that's worth a damn, they will have to pay his buyout from his current contract with his school before they can even negotiate their new head coaches contract...so in short, Auburn is double fricked and might as well settle down and stop stressing bc they're fricked and there's nothing going to come of this in the near future.

my comment was in reference to Gus being the only coach in the conference currently (I think) to have beaten Saban. He also got you to a title game (alabeit many moons ago and he didn't win) just thinkin you all could certainly do worse
