Malzahn’s camp has presented a package to Auburn president Steven Leath to keep him in blue and orange, and it’s our understanding the ask is substantial. It’s hard to imagine Auburn letting Malzahn walk at this point.

Auburn is going to pay top money to him and sign a long term contract and then get a steady return of 8-5 seasons

I blame Florida and Mullen for this.

Good play by Gus you knew it was going to come. He has his team in the SEC title game, possibly the CFB playoffs and another UNiversity clamoring for him. If he wins Saturday. Auburn is basically forced to match. Can't have a coaching changing before a playoff game for Pete's sake

Some of y'all need to revisit your thoughts on Gus from the beginning of the season.

Well there's no way this will turn out poorly.

That's a done deal. I'd pay him what he's asking and keep moving.

Some of the rumored UT "offers" seemingly set the early market expectancy a bit, Mullen capitalized at UF... now everyone else has to pay more for their coaches I suppose. Meanwhile, MSU over there laughing... saved money, got a great coach, got off the carousel after a single ride.

I honestly never thought it would get this far. And I still don't believe he's going anywhere.

This is going to be one hell of a game of chicken though. Who blinks first?

Amazing how things work out. Etling snaps the ball a half second earlier, Les is still at LSU and the Gus bus would have been ditched by Auburn!

Sexton must be on his 104th pot of coffee at this point.

Gustav is apparently tired of always being 1 loss away from the hot seat...or worse.

I have had a love/hate relationship with Gus from the gitgo, but I would prefer they wait till after Saturday to accept his offer. If that pisses him off and he goes to the pig pen, so be it.

Sexton is a slimy motherfricker...

And if I was a head coach he would be my first call

Jerry must have gotten in Gus's ear and told him how much he would give him to come back home.
