YOu have literally no idea if that is true. That's what we thought, based on what BA's lawyer said, but we have no idea what else UGA found. The whole reason our investigation took so long was likely because of checking on these "other" dealers.

Glad he will be back for our game. Best against best.
as to the Bammers and Cam Newton, MSU should have not been given amnesty, they should have been penalized.

Rested, healthy, and ready to run. I expect a fumble too.

As compared to players like Marcel Dareus, Brandon Gibson, and Ha Ha Clinton Dix from Alabama who actually accepted improper benefits and were reinstated after receiving shorter suspensions than Gurley
Yes, they are also examples. They paid back the monies and were given penalties in line with the sliding scale of money received.

I wouldn't think he would do that. Don't think that would help his potential draft stock.
Every draft analyst has said that him sitting and focusing on training for the Combine will do nothing but help his draft stock.

And per the NCAA BA wasn't the only one he took money from, so what his lawyer said would only be part of it.

Shocked by that. Guess the NFL doesn't care about the character of an individual player anymore.

Running backs with less mileage are a good thing to NFL execs. Especially if you are gonna pick one high like Gurley will be.

Sad to say, this is the perception he is giving, whether intentional or not.

Taking money for Autographs doesnt phase the NFL. Less previous gametime for a RB only adds to his potential

Agreed. But he only has to play a few more games.

Shame on us for thinking the NCAA would do anything but bend us over again.
well if it's true as stated above that UGA ended its investigation with 400 and the NCAA found more than 3k it's kind of hard to think you exhausted the investigative process before sitting him for only 2 game and just thought they'd go along with it.
Which seems like the kind of thing that really chaps their asses.
With that said, whole thing is stupid. Let the man play.

4 games for $3,000 over multiple years seems pretty fair to me in comparison to previous punishments.
It is almost worth the risk of getting caught.

IMO if we beat UF and UK like we should then we roll into AU 8-1 with everything on the line, and he will play. If we lose to UF or UK without him I wouldnt fault him for leaving and training his damage would already be done.

I get that we all hate the NCAA, but when you sign stuff and take thousands of dollars you understand what you are doing. I hate he isn't playing because he is a great player and fun to watch, but he knew what he was doing. And he will be back for Auburn, so hopefully in the end it will only cost him individual awards and won't cost his team anything.
Seems to work out pretty fairly to me.

Yeah we're talking about a league that gave Pacman Jones beau coup chances, and let Mike Vick play after serving time for electrocuting and mutilating dogs They won't give a shite nor should they.
