The day Nick retires is the day Ole Miss will be looking for a new coach.

There were alot of coaches between the Bear & Saban. Getting who you want doesnt always work out. I think kirby is where he wants to be.

Doesn’t matter who they want or who they hire - he will fail in epic fashion because of the horrible fanbase.

A couple 10-2 seasons and that coach is done. They’ll fire him and then things will get really ugly. That’s when they go back to being the dog shite program they were for much of the 90s and early 2000s.

Post Sabah Alabana is easily one of the worst jobs in college football history imho.

Irrelevant. Don't even worry about it yet. Whoever the best candidate is at the time. Obviously.

Nobody really excites me a ton, but I would say Kiffin at this point. Mainly because I think he would kill it in recruiting/portal moves.

That doesn't compute. Kirby wouldn't willingly leave UGA. He's home. If you wanted him, I don't think you could pay him to leave. That's where he wants to be. It's where he wanted to be as a player and where he wanted to be as a coach.

I mean hell that was known about him prior to him getting the UGA gig and very likely why he stayed at BAMA as long as he did. He could've taken another job but ultimately his goal was to be UGA's head coach. Not a head coach but the head coach at UGA.

It depends on the list of avails coaches in 2040.

Probably the coach who told Arkie to frick off and force you to hire that obese slob Tittman, which would be Lane MFin Kiffin.

Honestly, no one seems appealing right now. I think Saban coaches through 2029. Who knows how the coaching landscape will look then. As for criteria...needs to be a proven elite recruiter and then go from there.

I’d like Lane. Hope it happens. It probably won’t.

I agree. Who wants to follow Nick. Nobody that’s who. They won’t hit another home run like that for a while, and I do appreciate the tradition and lore of Bama and respect them. It’s going to be a rude awakening.

So, we'll be just fine then. Continuously dominating tigers for decades to come. I will have to find a way to accept this.

I'd take urban Meyer... But he's always subject to health issues. I'd like kiff as well, but he's only loyal to the dollar. Stoops from Kentucky could be good...

Whoever it is needs to understand how to work in the new NIL and transfer portal world.

Hardin will be hired by Saban to bring him back into the fold and he will then tell the boosters to hire Harsin as his replacement ??
