Saw he was released at Bessemer City after one year. Any one follow him?

Zow being a horrible QB is the reason why racist Alabama had 13 straight seasons after him where a white QB started.

Story didn't indicate why he or any of the other coaches were let go prior to him, but 5 in 5 years may speak more about the overall program and school administration than anything else.

I agree. My alma mater is in the same region as Bessemer City and they are usually an awful team. 8-3 there with a playoff appearance is a good season.
What is unusual is Zow stepped down without taking another job. After that type of season and with his name, he would be in high demand should Bessemer City not be the right place for him.

You really don't pay attention to prep football do you? They are far from an awful program and the most wins in that region. And have made the playoffs 7 straight times.
But there has to be more to this story. After successful stops at Calera and Montevallo he will get picked up

Funnily enough, he was the most prolific QB in Alabama history for a time on the stat sheet.

I remember him ripping inbred Louisianan hearts out with two TD's in the final two minutes in 1998. That's all that really matters.

Lou Tepper made many QB’s look like All Americans between 98-99. He had a stretch of 3 or 4 in a row where the opposing QB won offensive player of the week.
