And yet, in this game of surprises, we ask for perfection.
Perfection from our coaches and student-athletes, and perfection from the game officials who are called upon to instantly apply the rules in real time on every play.
No, you stupid jackass. We are not asking for perfection.
We are asking for at least half-arse competence and a measure of fairness. Even when the conference's darling inbreeds are playing.

It says a lot more than that.

Without answering those specific questions in the reply, they should have known they were going to take additional heat. (And they didn't answer those questions.)

Jesus Christ, you young and retarded vol fans breed like flies.

Will the SEC be the first to copy the NFL in reviewing PI ?

But he did. He said assignments, compensation, and future employment are based on accuracy and performance. Then he provides a link that goes into detail about how officials are reviewed.

Just what you would expect from a corporate AD whose main goal is to raise money.

That's how it's handled IN GENERAL. I said SPECIFICALLY.
Folks want to know what happened to the Refs in those two games. Unless they give up that info, they should have expected the blowback they are getting right now. (And I totally understand WHY they can't answer that specifically, but that's not the point I was trying to make).

"Mistakes occur"
How do you "mistakenly" throw a personal foul flag on something like this?
You don't.

Mistakes happen because the officials in the SEC are just bad.

Sankey is an embarrassment.
Isn't the SOB from up north somewhere anyway?? you would think we could get someone from the South to lead the SEC.

The Tennessee player sat on top of our QB for literally over 5 seconds after he tackled him, and then pushed him down as he was getting off of him. In this day and age, how do you not expect that to be called?

I sure hope not...it's so bad now, you can't hardly breathe on the WRs without it being called...they could end up going down a road where most pass plays are reviewed. And then where do you stop? Why not review holding as well? Or too many men in the backfield? Or ineligible receiver downfield? Or a pick play? Those should be easy enough to review and can have huge consequences if missed, just like PI...

Yes, preferably from Alabama, so the refs will stop taking pity on our opponents and flagging us to death.

That personal foul was little ticky tac for my taste, but laying on top of the QB that long and then pushing him down when you get up gets called in this day and age. Mac's noodle arms screwed the UT player there too.
