Yes, preferably from Alabama, so the refs will stop taking pity on our opponents and flagging us to death.

Ain't that the truth. The last few years has been ridiculous with the discrepancy of penalties called against Alabama versus not called against opponents in league games especially.

In this day and age, how do you not expect that to be called?

I know right?

BTW, that same type of "infraction" occurs multiple times in every game and rarely ever gets called.

I sure hope not...it's so bad now, you can't hardly breathe on the WRs without it being called...they could end up going down a road where most pass plays are reviewed. And then where do you stop? Why not review holding as well? Or too many men in the backfield? Or ineligible receiver downfield? Or a pick play? Those should be easy enough to review and can have huge consequences if missed, just like PI...

I'll likely be in the minority here, but yeah I think every penalty should be reviewed. Not on field reviews with a clock stoppage, but there should be a team in the booth whose sole job is to look at a play as it's happening and right after it's happened to determine if there were any missed penalties. I also think there should be an option to listen in on their though processes.

It's ridiculous that we have to rely on 7 men on the field making calls as they see them with no further diligence. We have better technology than ever before, and it's ridiculous that we can see that there was a missed call on the field, yet we don't have measures to recognize those calls and enforce them or reverse them.

Also the ball needs an RFID chip. enough of this spotting with your foot bullshite. The technology is there, use it.

You like 5 hour games? Because that is how you get 5 hour games.

I like games where the outcomes aren't decided by 7 part-time officials with thought processes to which we don't have insight.

I think almost all of the time officials are out there doing their best. But there are sometimes where you see a replay and you'd like to at least know the thought process behind throwing a flag/not throwing a flag. And I mean the thought process from a source that can overturn a call. Not a rules analyst who is sometimes left scratching his head.

I think we all want this, but sometimes the calls are not going to go your way, and how you handle it says a lot about you individually and collectively.

It's almost like officiating is subjective and also changes year to year and game to game.

same amount of penalty yards, Tennessee had what, two hundred + total yards?

Jesus Christ, you young and retarded vol fans breed like flies.

Cry

I'm not young, you sister fricking drunk.

It's not the yards. It the penalties against your opponents when you need them the most.

By the way, you certainly knew who the "darling inbreeds" were without prompting.

This is where we disagree. I think it's absurd to sit back and just accept bad calls. You don't feel a bit cheap when it happens for Florida? It happened a couple times against Miss St with what seemed like phantom calls to keep our drive going and I had to grit my teeth. It's cool being the beneficiary, but it does lessen a win if you know there was a bad call at a pivotal moment that went your way.

A bad call is a bad call regardless of the beneficiary, and it's a problem that should be addressed. Find a way to fix it.

It’s all a massive conspiracy to keep Auburn and LSU down. The 8 straight losses to Alabama has nothing to do with Saban raiding Louisiana for its best players and superior preparation, coaching and execution on game day. It’s all Steve Shaw’s, Greg Sankey’s and Tom Ritter’s fault.

My God, I’d hide my head in shame if I cried like you babies.

Pretty much this. When Bama loses a game, sometimes there are calls we could point to as the "cause." But, the reality is, the team should have played well enough that getting a couple more bad calls than the other team wouldn't decide the game.

I figured this thread would be full of beneficiaries with a superiority complex.

Check.

Will the SEC be the first to copy the NFL in reviewing PI ?

I haven't seen one PI call in the NFL overturned. It's almost like the officials got together and said we want this to stay judgement so just go with the call on the field no matter what.

ETA: Looked it up and as of Oct 11th, 1 out of 21 PI calls have been overturned in the NFL.
