Lol

So funny and yet he has the Bear's grandson there and didn't make him the starting qb.

Damn.... you don't even coach and you're comparing yourself to saban. You know you wouldn't even get a Jr High coaching interview.... right?

1. I didn't compare myself to Saban.
2. I have coached thank you.

I didn't post this because I'm a Bama fan. I just don't think Nix is a good qb. If au wants people to take them seriously in football they need to make the tough calls. This is one of them. There is no way Ga. St., even with the help of the officials, should be close to beating Au.

Does Daddy Nix have this much clout?

It is not about Daddy Nix, it probably has more to do with the opponent and where the game is being played.

I would assume Nix will start but will have a short leash. If things aren’t going well by the end of the 1st qtr, look for a change to be made. It is the smart way to Coach. Finley didn’t beat Nix out of the job during fall practice so it isn’t like Harsin doesn’t have some confidence in Nix.

I think that is the "Smart play" You start TJ and he struggles then you pull him, then you have pulled 2 Starting QB's in consecutive weeks and then probably lost both of them.

Start Nix, if he stinks it up against LSU like he did vs. GA. State then you do the same thing and pull him and send in Finley. At that point, you have only had to bench 1 guy (twice) and at that point you can decide to make a permanent switch away from Bo to TJ.

This is a shockingly coherent take for this board which is probably why it’s gone unnoticed for the rest of this thread. Upvote.

Harsin may have coached a few more games than Mike Price, but this would still be a record quick firing if he starts Nix and loses.

Auburn needs to weather the storm and push out all the dipshit boosters.

Freeze has bigger fish to fry. He would have used OM as a stepping stone had he not got in trouble. His new Ole Miss is Liberty.

its common fricking sense. You have to see how the starting Qb responds to being yanked.

I just hope Bo Nix can transfer to Ole Miss so he can see a real offense.

Please drop the Ole Miss Ruse. Inevitably someone will bash on a team you don't even think about.

It's aubuurn, TJ is not beating out Bo and TJ needs to start reading up on "THE" portal if he wants to be on the field for any meaningful play. Harsin is not dumb and is well aware of the protocol.

All of this, plus the game is on the road at night, in a difficult place to play at night. You got to go with the veteran starter who has seen that as a visiting QB before. If this game was at home, it'd be a MUCH tougher decision for Harsin.

Either way, I'm sure the crowd will treat whichever QB starts with the utmost respect and decency. They'll be too tired to rag them by 8:00pm, anyway.
