Greg McElroy claims Saban has underachieved at Alabama on WJOX just now.

Claims Texas and Oklahoma will push Alabama and Saban to finally win more titles than they are now.
Guy just hates Alabama and won the title as the 2009 starting QB.
I think him losing the Alabama radio job to John Parker Wilson has made him bitter.

What a hot take. Alabama already wind a title every year now anyway.

He should be thankful he got to play at all considering McCarron redshirted his first year (2009)

I think he just strives too hard to be impartial. Probably figures it will be better for his career.

I agree. Saban gets the best recruits nearly every year. Should be winning one every other year….
Oh wait.

That is a crazy take right there. How much better could Bama be for crying out loud? You have to get to some C-level shite like "in 2017 shouldn't have needed OT to beat UGA"

Backhanded at rest of SEC (for not pushing Bama)?
Sounds like it.

I am not a Greg fan and dont plan on listening to his new show. I do like to hear Cole's comments. I think Greg is following the footsteps of other people at ESPN who have come out with outlandish comments to generate internet talk.

Saban can only dream that he has the same number of titles Texas and Oklahoma have won since he became HC at Bama.

Ok, if they push BAMA to win more titles that's fine with me. How about you?

G-Mac has been molded and shaped in ESPN's image. He has said plenty that borders on stupid. It's the job he gets paid well to do.
As coach Saban asked G-Mac after coming off the field in '09', "Are you concussed," I've been wondering the same thing about his second career.

I would say he just got more attention to his new show.
Which was probably the entire point tbh.

Being against Alabama and Auburn and being based out of Birmingham does not last long.
He is horrible anti SEC guy typical California mindset.

I don't mind that he's not a homer or whatever. That's a positive, actually. But he's clearly tried to be a contrarion the entire time he's been at ESPN and his schtick is so over the top and boring.

McElroy sucks
At first I enjoyed his admittedly raw commentary because he's obviously an intelligent guy and provides a technical level of experience that's hard to match.
I even liked him later on that Thinking Out Loud show with Marcus Spears—although I liked Spears better.
But man, GMac has just gone downhill now for whatever reason.
Acting like a huge douche certainly doesn't help either. I think he grew up in Texas. Might explain it.
