Although a lot of you think I am just a rapid gump hater, I have retired that although admittedly I lost it on the JD hit, that’s not true.

I have always said the Bear was the GOAT, and a good guy. Gene Stalling is a very underrated coach at Bama I have always liked and used to have a great show on SEC football that was really not only entertaining. It was ridiculously informative.

I tried to find the exact quote but couldn’t but it was something like this.

You don’t get fired for having a bad or disappointing season, you get fired for have a bad or disappointing season when your rival has a great season.

Jimbo- Texas finally back and LSU wins West with first year HC

Not looking good if that hold true for Billy if FSU makes playoffs

Word. People think he would be outdated in today's game but...as he noted, the winner is usually the team with the best DTs and ... And that will always hold true. Genuinely a better person than coach...and that show was great

Stallings also once said that if a coach ever started listening to the fans with respect to who should be starting, then pretty soon that coach would be sitting with the fans

Gene Stallings was a great college coach but he was so stubborn about opening up his offense that it probably cost him a Natty or 2. He had some great defensive teams but never could score enough points to beat Spurrier and Florida.

What’s is strange is Dabo is becoming just as stubborn as Stallings about using the portal and NIL. Dabo is a great coach but when everyone has the ability to go get top talent that has played a lot of snaps and you refuse to do the same then expect to take a big nose dive like Clemson and Dabo has in recent years.

I had the privilege of meeting him once. One of the nicest people you’d ever meet. Just as genuine as he seems on tv. Not the best coach Bama ever had, although he was a good one, but he’ll always be my favorite

Between him and Bill Curry Alabama has had two of the finest men to ever coach in this conference

To be fair, a lot teams had trouble beating Spurrier. Florida practically dominated the SEC during the 90’s.

Also the huge recruiting class(es) was a blessing and a curse. Failing to achieve with that talent had to have been a glaring sign.

Ed Orgeron on his firing at LSU

LSU AD “coach things aren’t looking to good”

O - “No shite, Ray Charles can see that”

LSU AD “we are prepared to give you your 19 million buyout”

O “what time do you want me gone and what door you want me to use?”

Very interested to see a post mortem of how the portal transfers made it this season. I’m curious if the benefits may be more limited than initially thought. We all thought it would be automatic, transfer and kick arse, but now thinking its generally not, with some huge variables.

Saban called Stallings before he took the Alabama job and stallings told him if you are winning Alabama is the best job in the world and if you’re losing it’s the worst job in the world! Lol

Guess who Dabo’s head coach was at Alabama? And who he also worked for as a GA?

Even the old to middle aged Tennessee fans that I know, who wouldn’t piss on a bammer if he was burning have significant respect for Stallings

It wasn't that bad, not like you menstruated all over the board for the next five days or so.

I don’t think the gripe with you was ever that you’re a mega Bama-hater. I mean, who would care if you were? This is a sports forum. No, the gripe with you was around the fact that you’re objectively a complete piece of shite, wishing physical harm on a bunch of innocent kids because your feelings were hurt during a game….and you were doing that across multiple days so you can’t even blame alcohol. Hope that helps.
