I mean I understand what he's saying but maybe don't admit to something you're actively being investigated for.

At this point, he's daring the NCAA to do something. We'll see if they're too weak to, I guess.

A now known recruiting cheater, an alcoholic that puts innocent lives at risk at a racist Klan affiliated university.

I would bet his plan is to dare the NCAA to do something and then run to the same judge they used for Chambliss.

Using a driving reference right after a DUI is a bad choice right?

Using a driving reference to admit you cheated after getting a DUI is certainly a decision.

If they punish Ole Miss then they risk a lawsuit going to court saying they are preventing student athletes from earning as much as possible by having portal windows. They would lose and know they would lose. Which would truly put an end to the NCAA.

Portal windows don't cause tampering though, a player not being in the portal causes tampering.

The court could just rule that if a player wants to earn more, he should be in the portal. I'm not sure it's a slam dunk.

Its harming a player by forcing them to use that system. They wouldn’t know their true worth if they never entered the portal. The options should be put in front of them to consider without restrictions or else you’re putting roadblocks up preventing them from making money.

^not saying I agree with this but it’s the argument that would likely be used in some capacity and a judge (especially in Mississippi) would be willing to agree

Yep. In no other field / industry are employees required to quit their job before being able to discover what their market value is and whether another employer would be a better fit.

Players return from the portal all the time, it's hardly the same as "quitting your job".

It's more similar than not. Once in the portal, there's no guarantee your prior team will take you back / have a spot.

Employees jump back to old jobs all the time too.

But never are they required to blindly leave their job with no indication of what they will be offered, or where that offer will come from.

We've built a completely broken system.

Bit Saban was somehow squeaky clean those 5 years he was in Red Stick, right?

The wishcasting on this board is hysterical. It was a great answer. Nothing will come from this. The kid entered the portal from Cal with a no contact tag. How did Clemson recruit him? It’s a glass houses bitchfest by Dabo.

Good luck to yall. Pete had a great day.

reporters love it because he gave them a bunch of material and something to point back to when this comes to a head.

Your job as a coach at these pressers is to grab as little headlines as possible.

The dipshits like Golding and Heupel couldn't help themselves but say something stupid.
