Coaching staff is implying they have enough info on the other two QBs and giving Eason every chance to show his stuff going forward to the big scrimmage that will determine everyone's status.

On Lambert, he doesn't have the mettle to be a week to week starter. Not good enough to be full time starter but much better than a back up.

Starting a TRUE frosh QB from day 1 means Smart is going to throw away this season to build for the future. They will lose at least 4 games if Eason starts day 1 and not just because of QB play...the defense doesnt have the starch yet to be Atlanta bound the first saturday in December.

UGA will be better in 2017 and be really good in 2018 if the defensive recruits committed now to Smart stick and sign with UGA. Smart has really focused on shoring up the defense and that is the right way (I cant say smart move by him because of Kirby's name...lol)to build the program up.

Why doesn't Lambert get more respect? He completed 63.3% of his passes last year and only threw 2 picks in 256 attempts. Why not have the 5th year senior start and let the freshman prodigy watch and get spot duty so as to aid his development?

Because anybody who's watched him play knows he sucks. Except for USCe fans, I guess. He's a good kid but plays scared.

Georgia is not a SEC title competitor with a true freshman at QB, but they'll be better for it down the road

Maybe. It remains to be seen. There is also the chance that he gets his arse kicked hard this year and it damages his mental game.

I think Arkansas fans got a taste of that when Brandon Allen was thrown into the fire too early, and he suffered for years because of it. Until midway through his senior season, in fact.

I think Georgia fans are being very unrealistic if they think that a true frosh is going to come in and lead their team to glory.

Look on the bright side

Your QB situation can't be any worse than last year

What a dumpster fire that was lol

Doesn't surprise me at all. He's ready. The kid is 6'5 230, has the NFL pedigree, and he went through spring. Plus all their other quarterbacks suck.

Not one person on this board has expressed this notion.

Secondary will be excellent and LB's are a very talented group. There is talent at D-line but not much depth amd we cannot afford any injuries. We should be fine on defense.

UGA will be better in 2017

Not so sure about that. We lose Chubb,Michel (more than likely) and 3 maybe 4 starters on the O-line.

Will almost definitely be better. Lose only Pyke and Kublanow on OL. Catalina too but he's not even a sure starter.

What's your predictions for Eason's stats this season?

I truly think he is and will be better than Stafford and won't struggle as much as Stafford did his freshman season. I also, again this is mostly gut feeling at this point, think he will be much more dedicated to the team and the game than Stafford was. Basically I can't guess about his stats this season and have any degree of accuracy but I do think he will have a much better true freshman season that Stafford.

Literally no one thinks this. I think we win 8 games with Eason as starter. Mostly because we somehow won 10 games with a harder schedule and Lambert as the QB with no Chubb more than half the season last year is why some believe we can win 10 again this year. No one really thinks we are going to contend this season though.
