Going to ask an age old question again, as I feel it’s relevant

Would you rather make the Big Dance and be one and done, or win the NIT?

It’s a privilege to play extra basketball.

That said, I’d rather play in the first 4 of NCAA.

The NIT finals used to be in Madison Square Garden, but I thought they moved it to Vegas.

My freshman year at USC, we made the tourney and lost to Memphis in the first round. The next year, we won the NIT on a last second 3-pointer against St. Joe's by Tarence Kinsey. I remember the NIT championship run much more fondly than the previous year.

Making the dance looks better on ones resume.

Making a run in the nit and winning it is good for teams with young players who are returning but that is getting rare. If a player lights it up in that run there’s a good chance he’ll be plucked by a bigger name team with more cash.

It’s a shame, but the good old days in sports is long gone now.

Big Dance always. The NIT (esp. winning it) is an embarrassment.

It's not a question, losing the play in game is better than nit. Nit is better than nothing but as a fan or athlete you'd rather see your team performing at the top levels of competition. In football I'd rather see my team blown out in the playoffs than hoisting the dons brake shop bowl trophy against a Mac team.
