Before moving to AZ, and I still lived in north texas, I worked with them helping people after three hurricanes, as I provided hurricane victim support. They are incredible. They provided me a channel to communicate with them, on a two-way radio app.

Nothing but outstanding people.

What a weird stance you have taken.

frick those volunteers?

Seems like whatever “service” you have done was for your own glorification. Maybe take a step back and get a little perspective on life.

I'm glad someone finally said it. Biggest idiot LSU poster on this board, and that's saying a lot.

Nothing drove me except the question that I answered. No, I'm not insecure... but a lot of people act like the cajun navy is all there is and that they all do it just because, without realizing that they get paid.

But hey, yeah, God bless them.

The Cajun Navy really does good work and you’ll never see the actual volunteers post about it.

This is a nightmare and it’s wonderful that they are helping.

My wife was a nurse at Mystic several years when my daughter attended. When she was 8, she stayed in the cabins that were hit the hardest by the flooding. With another set of circumstances this could have hit our family.

I’ve been thinking “there but by the grace of his god…” all weekend. Our hearts ache for those families

No doubt. Differences always put aside to help our neighboring brothers and sisters. And Texas has helped out our state a lot when disasters happen. It is just different in the South. And that's a good thing

I've done more floods, hurricanes, oce storms and All Hazards events than cajun navy. I've seen them in action and while yeah, they are okay... they not all that.

Where are you now?

Because if you're not out there spending your time helping others in dire need, you need to just shut the frick up about those who are.

Yeah, and they do this a lot. Great bunch of people. Thank God for them.

I read a story this morning about a father at the site. Said he was just walking and searching until he found his daughter. I cannot fathom the grief he and others are experiencing.

This is an insane tragedy.

It is. We prayed for those affected, those lost, those still missing, in church this morning and will continue to do so. I can't imagine losing one of my daughters in this fashion.

Oh shut up. I've worked with several of those and they aren't all of what y'all think... but you have a great day.

Dude... just let it go.

Yeah, a lot of people in La have heard various shady things about some of the folks associated with the Cajun Navy. Some are con artists and glory hounds; but those are individuals, not the vast majority of people out there helping.
And if you were out there helping too, you wouldn't have time to respond to all these posts.

And right now, people need help.
