2019 LSU was arguably the best offense from an efficiency standpoint as has ever been fielded. Defense was good enough so the team is suspect as the best team ever but they are definitely in the conversation.

What is less debatable is UGA the last 2 years being the best 2 year run ever in CFB and it ain't close. 15 NFL draftees and what, 15 or so transfers...and simply reload and win it all again the next year with an improved offense and a defense that took little if any step backwards. UGA is the 4th team to repeat as a unanimous national champion. 94/95 Nebraska did it with 5 players drafted. 03/04 USC did it with 5 players drafted. 11/12 Alabama did it with 8 players drafted. Those teams also played one bowl game each where UGA played 2 bowl games in 9(?) days. There is no debate that this 2 year run is the best ever in the history of CFB. Neither team is, in my opinion, among the top 5 best ever, but the 2 year run is unmatched....

I agree completely with this.

BTW what does yall's QB situation look like next year? As much as it pains me to say it, Bennet really came into his own and proved many people wrong. But your QB next year cant have much if any experience right?

LSU’s 7 top 10 wins were won by margins of 7, 14, 3, 5, 27, 35, 17.

LSU beat five teams that finished in the top ten, not seven.

#2 Clemson
#4 Georgia
#6 Oklahoma
#7 Florida
#8 Alabama

LSU also beat #14 Auburn.

Not a lot of experience.

Carson Beck.
2022:
26-35 (74%) for 310 yards (8.9 YPC), 4 TD, 0 INT, 7 rushes for 43 yards. 186 passer rating. 83.6 QBR. 0 sacks.

Had passing stats in games against Oregon (#15), TCU (#2), SC (#23), Vandy, GT and Samford.

0 INTs from a backup is always encouraging. I think monkin is good enough to develop his system around whatever skillset Beck will have. But the continuity of Stetson both years I think played one of the biggest factors in the back to back. Will be tough to 3 peat with the new QB but yall will definitely be competing for it

Bro, I realize some probably believe what you are trying to disprove.

And some are just posting it to rile tigers up on here.

Most Dawgs aren't sure this team is better than last years.

Duggan really?

Hooker will be better than Duggan. Not sure about Rattler. Couldn't remember all the qbs so thanks.

2019 LSU is the best LSU team ever obviously, because LSU fans bring them up 47 times a day. Are they the best ever? Sure, why not. I don't care and tired of the stupid argument. I don't even think 2020 Alabama is the best Alabama team of all-time.

I hate these idiotic comparisons, because it’s all subjective. One FACT that is not subjective. No team, all season long, ever had the football on offense against 2019 LSU in the 4th quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead.

Lol you didn't play 7 top ten teams, you played 7 ranked teams, same as us. Here are the real facts:

Back to back, most points in championship history, biggest blowout in championship history, biggest blowout in any bowl ever, top 5 offense and defense, beat 7 ranked teams, all in a rebuild year after losing 15 players to the draft and 13 to the portal. Best of all time and it's not even close!!!

If it was a rebuild year, you are saying it’s not as good as last years team. Why are you arguing against the point you’re trying to make. That’s not very smart.

I could see the debate for being the best 2-year run ever, but "it ain't close" seems a bit much.

1994-95 Nebraska was also dominant and didn't lose a game.
1986-87 or 87-88 Miami are also right up there.

Nothing to take away from UGA, this is the next Dynasty of the decade or maybe could go on longer.

But The amount of top teams (7 of them) LSU beat that year puts LSU’s 2019 team on another level, best single season EVER, not even close imo! It was a GAUNTLET, big difference of playing that type of schedule that Nobody thinks about is the Week On Week pounding “injuries”, coming off the Highs on that many big wins & not allowing a flop-game and doing that 7x’s (along with going thru all the SEC West Rivals & our East-game vs UF) of which, even on a down year, those teams CIRCLE the calendar with the LSU game as their Super Bowl in most cases.

It will be hard to match that season by ANYBODY. Playing 2-3 top 10 teams is doable, but legit, going thru 7 of them is like a buzz-saw.

& when you see the future HOF’ers from that team having the success they are having in the NFL, it further confirms that analysis.

And of course, LSU had to also go INTO TUSCALOOSA & slay that Dragon with Tua at the helm.

Not taking away from UGA (they are my 2nd favorite team) & w/ this winning streak & dominance, they are on another level of consistency that rarely ever happens, Go Dawgs!

but still, I don’t see this UGA team beating that 19’ LSU team/season.

UGA is well-liked machine, the next Heavyweight Dynasty is on the scene.

I said it in another string, I knew Kirby would kill it in UGA eventually. Great Defensive Guru, Saban’s longest tenured disciple, great school in a talent rich State, props to the Bulldogs, I pull for y’all every game except against the Fighting Tigers!

Disclaimer: I’m an ex-coach from a top level program in Louisiana, also coached Defensive Backs at the LSU & Auburn recruiting camps under Coach Saban & Coach Tubberville back in the day, so I know a little bit about football. All this comparisons of seasons is tough to do, but what isn’t tough is to realize how special that LSU team was, Coach Bebe caught lightning in a bottle & the stars aligned with him hiring Sean Peyton’s understudy (JOE BRADY) who is an Offensive Guru & Bebe also found some transfers that filled in nicely, stud/clutch kicker from nowhere, OL & of course Joe Burrow. Some people always hate on Bebe, but he did put that team together from several different angles. Nobody seen that coming, a very special season!

I know your kidding I am sure, but greatest team of all time would be LSU 2019, followed by Georgia 2022 and then Bama 2020.
