The Auburn/LSU game gives me flashbacks to the old CFB we used to love.

Vintage Les Miles, Chizik /Malzahn and crew.

Some great matchups in years past.

Saturday will be fun

LSU versus AU was almost always a war. You knew both teams would be feeling that game.

Hope it's a great one this year even with the shite time slot.

AU/LSU 2006 still remains the hardest hitting game I have ever seen in person. Guys were killing each other out there. AU won, but Brandon Cox was never the same the rest of the year. I think that game took some years off of his life.

For sure. Always made me nervous, but they would be great games. People forget that Auburn’s defense gave our 2019 offense its toughest test that season. I think we barely scored 20 points as I remember.

Agreed. I could hear the pads popping over the crowd noise. It's the most violent game I've ever watched in person.

I was there and agree wholeheartedly. Auburn never looked the same after it though.

100% agree. And 100% cost LSU the National Championship. We would have beat the shite out of Ohio State 2 years in a row.

Don't have a dog in the fight but seeing Cam single handedly manhandle the LSU defense in 2010 was pretty amazing.

Agreed. One of the best looking jersey games as well.

I watched Kenny Irons run for a thousand yards in Baton Rouge in 2005 only to miss 5 FG’s (damn you, John Vaughn) and lose.

That 2004 game was a turf war. Huge 4th down conversion.

2006 as others have said was a bone crusher.

I was in JHS in ‘96 when we got up early and then black smoke started billowing over the SE corner of the end zone when the old barn caught fire. We lost focus and lost the game.

‘88 best AU defense we’ve ever had, when LSU didn’t get past midfield all game until the last drive when they scored and the seismograph registered the crowd response.

‘94 when Curly kept chucking it and we kept intercepting it.

So many good games

While he did go off against LSU in 2010.. that wasn’t special to LSU. He did that against virtually everyone.

2008 was an extremely hard hitting game that doesnt get much love because both teams were not as good as previous years.

Andrew hatch got destroyed and was still out of it when they showed him on the bench in the 4th quarter. Vintage Jarrett Lee game

Byrun Brown threw a pass 70 yards in the air and hit the receiver right in the hands last Saturday. He had the wind at his back, but it was still one of the craziest throws I can remember.
