getting 3 of the top 4 in the first playoff ranking

This first Playoff rankings come out Tuesday, November 5. If Bama, LSU, and UGA make it there unscathed I think it's highly likely, looking at schedules of other contenders, they'll join Clemson in the initial Top 4. I think this is a good thing to look at without getting too too far ahead of ourselves. Having 3 of the Top 4 before we've all had a chance to beat each other up will be enough to piss off Big 12 and Big 10 fans to great hilarity
remaining schedule up to 11/5:
Bama
9/14 @SCar
9/21 So. Miss
9/28 OM
10/12 @A&M
10/19 Tenn
10/26 Arky
@A&M the only one even remotely worth mentioning.
92% chance
UGA
9/14 Ark St
9/21 Notre Dame
10/5 @Tenn
10/12 SCar
10/19 UK
11/2 UF @ WLOCP
ND not a slouch but being at home is huge. UGA is a lot better than UF but that game is still on high alert because it's just always weird as hell.
81% chance
LSU
9/14 NWestern St
9/21 @Vandy
10/5 Utah St
10/12 Florida
10/19 @Miss St
10/26 Auburn
at first a bigger cakewalk than even the other 2 but then the gauntlet hits. But again I don't think Florida is very good, being at cowbell city is worth mentioning but barely. The biggest question is Auburn, who looks like crazy inconsistent Auburn. Being at BR is huge, almost as huge as NOT being at Jordan-Hare

92% * 81% * 74% =
55% chance

They all said the SEC is weak though

Down year for the SEC, baw. The Clemson, Texas, and Oklahoma fans that post on the SEC rant told us this last week.

This doesn’t reflect what I think should happen. I think Georgia deserves it, but I imagine if all contenders were undefeated at that point it would go:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. LSU
4. OU/OSU
I think Georgia deserves to be in there, I just can’t imagine that the committee will ever give us 3 of 4, even during a reg season week where the rankings don’t mean anything.

OU
@UCLA
Texas Tech
@Kansas
Texas @ RRS
WVU
@Kansas St
tOSU
@Indiana
Miami OH
@Nebraska
Michigan St
@Northwestern
Wisconsin
Committee doesn't seem to care about pissing people off, and they're not gonna care in a meaningless first week. OU isn't getting over UGA's ND and UF wins. The only chance is if tOSU completely wrecks everyone

I would argue that if OU beats Texas and Texas Tech they will be close.
I think OSU’s schedule is easier than OU’s tbh. I don’t really rate ND but time will tell.

The very first Playoff rankings ever in 2014 had 3 SEC Teams
MS State, AU, Ole Miss and FSU

Big 12 is only getting in 1 team regardless based on the “one true champion” league...so why would an OU fan give a shite if the SEc gets in 2+ teams?
OU fan, not Big 12 fan. frick the rest.

LSU won't be in the top 4 after Florida beats them

Hard to believe there was a time when both Mississippi schools were in the playoff ranking top 4.

You know what should piss off all SEC-homer fans? None of the teams you mentioned are SEC expansion teams. And none of the expansion teams are still unbeaten. And none of the expansion teams has even been to the BCS/CFP.
So you’ve thinned out the effective payout each “original” SEC team receives; doubtful that t.v. sets added you so proudly brag about are more important than championships. Oh, and those championships? You now have Clemson regularly taking their share. And those newbie leaches? A&M (especially) has some of the worst bandwagon fans that take more joy in preventing championships once in a blue moon than ever winning their own.
So congrats? on possibly getting 3/4 SEC teams in the early playoff rankings. And get ready to bitch when the final tally includes Big XII, B1G, PAC12 or Notre Dame.

Ohio State plays @ Nebraska, @ Northwestern, @ Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin & Penn State. Show me six conference games on Oklahoma's schedule that approach that.

The SEC had 3 of the top 4 teams in the 2014 initial CFP rankings.
#6 made the playoffs.

If we beat ND, their already higher ranked than Texas. Going by their metric, UGA would have the best quality win of all those teams and certainly would be at minimum 3 but possibly even #2

As a whole, possibly....but not at the top at all. After you get past the top 5 or 6 it is absolute dog shite.
