I probably don’t notice because of biases. Which is why i didn’t say no to your first question and said maybe instead. I can’t point things out I don’t notice.

Understood. However, when it is pointed out by several people from several fan bases, maybe there is some fire with that smoke? perhaps a closer less biased look would be in order.

quote:

No it does not. You’re wildly misunderstanding the definition.

I absolutely am not. You are.

quote:

Thinking you’re morally superior to someone that your not? No not a good thing.

Then you admit that Auburn fans are guilty of the same thing? because we have plenty of threads where Auburn fans called for Georgia fans to be shot with rubber bullets and a couple saying they should be shot with real bullets because they stormed a field.

quote:

I only said it that way as in that’s the definition you pulled. You could pull many different definitions from different dictionaries. I wasn’t questioning the definition.

Okay.

So you made a moral judgement about Georgia fans based upon your own moral superiority. Using your logic, this thread is criticizing us for us thinking we are morally superior to Auburn. In making that judgement that places you in a morally superior position over other fans.

"We are morally superior to Georgia because Georgia considers themselves to be morally superior to Auburn!
And we don't think we are morally superior!"

The irony of claiming someone else thinks they are morally superior and that is wrong is astounding. It inherently says that you are morally superior because you don't think of yourself that way when in fact the very act of bringing it up shows you do think you are morally superior.

I really wish Auburn and Alabama fans who shite on Georgia constantly would find another MLB team. We don't need Braves fans who hate every other team in the state.

You remind me of Saints fans who also masquerade as Braves fans. We don't want you and we don't need you. I'd rather have a smaller, loyal fanbase than a larger group of people who pretend to be fans because it's cool.

Who a person roots for doesn't make them any more or less of a superior/inferior human being. I just wish that if you're going to be a fan of one local team that you don't consistently shite on the rest of them. I hear the Astros are looking for more fans.

You are just so wildly off base.

Me bringing up that someone thinks they’re morally superior in no way implies that I think I’m morally superior. It implies that we’re on even ground. Y’all just erroneously believe you are morally superior.

You’re sitting here acting like moral superiority hinges only on whether you think someone else is morally superior or not. Which is just so ridiculously stupid, I don’t even believe you believe that. There’s zero other factors in determining your morality?

It's been known to happen.

Okay. So you think morally Auburn and Georgia is on the same level, then?
quote:

Y’all just erroneously believe you are morally superior.

Not at all. I mean, I can't speak for our entire fan base...but you can't speak for your entire fan base.

So. now that we are on the same page, what is the point of pointing out that we are both on the same moral ground?

quote:

You’re sitting here acting like moral superiority hinges only on whether you think someone else is morally superior or not.
It kind of does. I mean, if you are judging someone else....doesn't that inherently indicate that are on a higher moral ground? Or do you just think it is okay to judge others actions and motives when yours are at least not equal or better?

quote:

Tons of things determine morality. It's the judging others morals that indicates that someone thinks they are morally superior. And this thread is certainly judging another fan base.

Wow, VADawg is on the board for dumbest take of the day.
Please tell me how pulling for the Atlanta Braves pro team has anything to do with hating the University of Georgia collegiate sports teams?

If the state borders GA, I have no problem. But the clowns in LA...they should pick a new team

The poster you are talking about lives in Cobb County...Georgia.

And what baseball, football and basketball teams should people living in a neighboring state with no professional sports cheer for? Does Fanatics not ship Falcons jerseys across state lines?

As that what we are stooping to now? Qualifications for pro sports fandom?

So, you can only pull for pro teams that reside in your state. Good to know. Make sure you get the word out to everyone because I don't think everyone is aware.

Auburn's lack of self-awareness is my favorite part of this rivalry.

Yes. In general, I think especially when you’re looking at a large group of people, everybody is at the same level.

quote:

So. now that we are on the same page, what is the point of pointing out that we are both on the same moral ground?

I’m not pointing that out. I’m pointing out the portion of your fan base that thinks they’re morally superior…

quote:

It kind of does. I mean, if you are judging someone else....doesn't that inherently indicate that are on a higher moral ground? Or do you just think it is okay to judge others actions and motives when yours are at least not equal or better?

Everyone judges everyone all the time. Some people don’t admit it but everyone does it. No matter where you are on the moral spectrum. It’s human nature.

Also it’s not really judging someone. It’s judging their judgment.

quote:

Tons of things determine morality

Exactly. So I don’t know why you take one judgment I make about a specific thing and think that means I’m morally superior to those people. When there’s a thousands other things that I’ve made no comment about. That’s been my point.

This is exactly what Auburn fans hang their hat on. We love Auburn not just Auburn football. We are a family. The whole Auburn fan experience is predicated on feeling morally superior to all other fanbases.
