Why does this concern you, personally, so much?

I’m helping a friend write a paper on self delusion and triggers for the willing suspense of disbelief. UGA posters on this site are an amazing case study.

This story just keeps getting better. Apparently his mother was pulled over and he sped passed the cop. The cop then pursued him instead. Then, the mother later going 100mph got in the cops way and initially Daniels got away, but later turned himself in with the help of a UGA coach
still not sure where the child cruelty comes into play. Perhaps he sped passed a kid going 100mph??
quote:
Police said it all started from a traffic stop in downtown Commerce turned into two high-speed pursuits topping 100 mph on Sunday after an officer attempted to pull over a driver who ran a stop sign, police said.
Commerce Police released an unofficial report, where they said that the officer was speaking with the driver, later identified as the mother of the primary suspect, when another vehicle blew past at more than 100 mph in the 25-mph zone, according to police.
The officer abandoned the initial stop and attempted to catch the speeding vehicle, driven by Nyier Daniels, who officers say fled down North Broad Street and onto Old Maysville Road.
Daniels continued turning through a series of roads -- Maysville Road, King Road, Wofford Drive and back to Maysville Road -- as the chase intensified, officials said.
As a Commerce Police Department supervisor tried to join the pursuit, the first driver, the suspect’s mother, pulled into the road ahead of him, blocking his path, according to police. Officers said she refused to stop and continued speeding down Maysville Road at more than 100 mph.
The supervisor eventually passed her and attempted to reach the primary officer, who had lost sight of Daniels’ vehicle near mile marker 144 on I-85 south. The pursuit was discontinued for safety reasons.
Officers pulled to the shoulder near mile marker 145 to wait for the initial driver, who passed moments later. Police stopped her and charged her with speeding, two counts of running a stop sign, obstruction, fleeing, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving.
Daniels, identified by police as a Georgia football player, later arrived at the Commerce Police Department after a UGA coach brought him in along with the vehicle he had used to flee, authorities said.
He was charged with two counts of cruelty to children, felony fleeing, reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, passing in a no-passing zone and multiple equipment violations.
Police said no injuries were reported.

Fair enough. So one is supposed to be something to go crazy over?
KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Lady Vols basketball player Ruby Whitehorn was arrested in Knox County Friday afternoon.
According to court documents, Whitehorn was charged with domestic assault and aggravated burglary after deputies responded to an altercation at a residence in North Knox County shortly after 4 p.m. Friday.
I'm sure she was kicked off the team after this Domestic Assault, right?
Nope.
Whitehorn reportedly was stopped early Thursday by campus police, who found her in possession of marijuana. She was charged with misdemeanor simple possession/casual exchange.
Whitehorn had been allowed back on the team following a suspension for an August arrest.
Would you like for me to dig up more arrests of Vol players?
How about the long and storied history of Tennessee players that have gotten in trouble? Some even for the heinous acts of speeding and DUI?
Top College Football Recruits Cross Tennessee Off Their List After Female Vols Fan Completely Crashed Out & Got Arrested In Front Of Them During Ugly Loss vs. Alabama
Vols football WR Chris Brazzell arrested and charged for suspended license, speeding
According to Sparks' report, Pearce was stopped on Monday morning on suspicion of speeding and driving with a suspended license. Sparks reported that Pearce refused to follow directions from police during the traffic stop, which led to his arrest.
Rumors have been swirling over the past few days about one of the Tennessee Vols’ most important players. And they aren’t the kind of rumors that will make Vols fans smile.
For now, nothing is confirmed, but there have been rumors circulating about some off-the-field issues with Vols defensive back Boo Carter.
Shocker...Boo carter DID play for the Vols this year. Weren't you the poster that was bragging about how proactive Huepel was?
I mean there is plenty more to dig out if you would like me to, since we can go back several years.

Let he who has not driven 75 mph over the speed limit with two kids in the car because they were late to church cast the first stone.

Mean and bitter would be an excellent guess, too. They are taught to have a mean streak from high school (Some earlier) on...especially defensive players and OLinemen.
Wish the Hogs had some more mean and/or bitter OL and DL. Maybe our strategy of recruiting pleasant, well meaning, docile lineman needs to be re-evaluated with the new staff

In order to do that, you would have to have a friend. And you would have to know how to write.

Why are you so obsessed with UGA and players getting into trouble? My God man, you're pathetic and need a girlfriend...or uh....boyfriend.

Are mad you can’t blow me?
Actually I was slightly disappointed as the team was doing better avoiding arrest. They only had 5? 6? All offseason.
