That link is useful but it didn't put any weights on where those guys got drafted.

A first rounder and a seventh rounder were treated the same for that study. They should do a follow up and show where they were drafted roundwise

Uh... did you even read it?

quote:

To fairly access a successful development, 247Sports created a “Development Rating.” It's a measure that takes into account the total number of Top247 prospects a program had along with where/if those players were drafted (3 points for 1st rounders, 2 points for 2nd-3rd, 1 for 4th-7th), dividing the total number of prospects by the point total to create the rating. This removes any advantage created by a program’s ability to recruit an overwhelming number of Top247 players. It also rewards programs that produce more first- and second-day picks.

It's still not a perfect study, but not for the reason you stated.

Gus has averaged a Top 10 recruiting class over his career,

Recruiting ranks are fake as frick. As evident by a retarded man like Gus being able to get into the "top 10."

Auburn would definitely beat Tennessee with ease.

Not sure why you would say that...Tennessee started to play some physical football behind Pruitt. Only thing I've seen Gus do, in his time, is try and implement the same darn offensive schematic regardless of personnel.

You're one to talk about player development. The simple fact is we have underclassmen leaving early when they should have stayed in school, and some of them didn't have great measurable.

- Godwin is small without great measurables.
- Nauta is slow and wasn't utilized enough.
- Holyfield had poor measurables, and a very slow 40.
- Natrez Patrick was a dope head who stayed in trouble.
- Ledbetter, again not great measurables and had an alcohol problem, but overcame it.
- Ridley ran a slower than expected 40. Should have stayed.

There is a question among UGA fans about whether Tray Scott is good enough as a DL coach and even moreso as a recruiter. He's done well with DEs and occasionally a DT. He's failed to get that big time NG.

Isaiah Wynn, Roquan Smith, and Sony Michel all went in the first round last year. Nick Chubb was a very early 2nd round pick. Lorenzo Carter went in the third round. This year, Baker went in the first round and Mecole Hardman went in the second. Ridley went in the third. I think we're doing okay.

Mecole Hardman didn't have position coming out of high school and he went in round 2.

We haven't played consistently in 20 years. That said, I dropped that reminder because one of your posters listed us when discussing how 'easy' the East is. It didn't come out of nowhere.

Tbh i glanced at it quickly and looked at the chart which looked like a simple % of blue chips vs how many got drafted in total to get to a number. I did some of the mental math the charted looked like a simple formula

Who cares where or if they get drafted!! That's all based off a bunch of Billy Beans!! Let's talk about how well they do once they are in the league!! would blow your mind the amount of busts we will see coming from this 1st round or any other. UDFA David Andrews says frick you to the scouts.

Having Auburn as a yearly opponent helps also. 13-6 since 2000.

Playing Auburn every year is a big help, they struggle against UT as well.

6-13 (.315) this century vs UGA has gotten deep in that Aubie head, hasn't it.
